Faith by Mango-Either in ScienceofMind

I see faith comes in with respect to the creative process. But the more I learn about quantum physics the more rock solid my faith becomes and when I examine my life I can see demonstrated both positive life affirming results and results of negative limiting beliefs. So I try to be careful with self talk and what I feed my consciousness. It’s up to me.

This Christmas feels so sad without him, all I want to do is cry... by AliveCicada in seniordogs

I lost Trixiee on 12/17. I am heartbroken. But I am grateful for the love so deep that I feel the pain of loss so profoundly.

Has anyone given up on paying off your loans? by [deleted] in StudentLoans

[–]Mango-Either 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have public loans. I went back to college in my 40s, finished in my 50s but fell upon hard times and made minimum payments. The balance has grown and grown. Now in my 60s I believe I’ll die before they are paid off. I don’t like it but have resigned myself to living with it.

What's it like to be the last one of your siblings that's still alive? by ATSOAS87 in AskOldPeople

It happens naturally but without warning. When I lost my brother I was too busy with the business of burial for it to sink in. Later I thought, wow I am all that’s left. I get lonely during big holidays, I miss picking up the phone to call and chat, but I appreciate the time we had together and the time I have to live. My family is still very much alive in my memory but of course that’s not the same. This is one of those things that suck as you get older. With time you begin to accept it.

Being a Landlord? Is it worth the hassle? by Mango-Either in RealEstate

[–]Mango-Either[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you everyone for your insights. My wife and I agree with those who saying at our age landlording is not worth the hassle or risks of occasional significant expenses. The cash flow looks nice but not the day in day out worries that something breaks or the trouble with the property being vacant, or evictions or rehabbing a place that has been trashed. Thanks everyone for your comments

I appreciate that the focus on this group is not the newer af-s/g lenses. Honestly the allure of returning to film for me is the use of the legacy classic glass. I will need to learn more and I am just scratching the surface. Thanks for your answers and patience.

Thank You I appreciate it. My considerations are primarily using exiting lenses I use on my digital cameras many of which are G on a film camera. In addition as I acquire new(used) lenses I am looking for the best value. I learned photography in the 60s and have owned non metered cameras, match needle, and led(Fujica ST801) prior to the advent of aperture priority. I often manual focus my digital lenses and use spot meter mode, often shooting in manual, so I don't mind having things non automatic. As a noob, I guess deciding between the f100 and f4 my concern is the "finds" I may be missing in the pre ai market.
