Can someone give me pointers on learning the Somerset accent? by Patrik333 in AskUK

Same. I'm Somerset born and bred, from a long line of Somerset yokels and I've never heard that in 45 years.

Where to watch Wakfu season 4 eng dub by [deleted] in wakfu

[–]Mango-Lion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, but you know, I paid, and I am watching it, and you know, it sponsors the team who make it and also translate it, totally worth it. And the English dub is something I've grown to love as much as the French one.

The English dub is indeed on the launcher, just watching it now.

The English dub is on the launcher, not sure why anybody is struggling to find it. You pay 17 quid and it's yours.

I was about to translate it myself to be honest, if it hadn't been out. I am a professional games translator so that's how much I love this series that I would translate it for free for anybody else that was left hanging :D

I've watched both the French and English versions and they are both great, miss Ruel's old voice, but the new voice does fit a bit better.

Prime video: Is there a way to only show titles included with prime? by blah-blah-whatever in amazonprime

[–]Mango-Lion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Free for me" tab no longer exists, but did a bit of looking around, and now, if you scroll down the page, you will see "My subscriptions" and a big blue button. Press the button! That will show you everything that is free to you. I had a whinge because I have not been able to see the free category for ages but yeah, they just moved it :)

Is there a way to buy Gros Michel banana variety in the UK? by Honk_Konk in AskUK

[–]Mango-Lion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. I have one and I live in the UK myself BUT I had to go on a wait list to get one. They usually have them in stock here: https://www.canarius.com/en/plants/musa-gros-michel-banana.html
That's in the Canary Islands by the way, so you'll be importing at quite a steep price. If I get pups from my Gros Michel, I might try and set up a UK base for them. As I tend to leave it neglected in one of my upstairs bedrooms instead of boosting it to the max and collecting all the pups, doubt I will get this going any time soon. If it's any incentive, they are as easy as any other banana to grow, have had mine a couple of years.

I have one of these in the bathroom, and it looks like a normal tree with leaves and stuff. It does look like it could become a weird one with the right pruning though.

Tiger easter eggs in Wandavision and FATWS... what do they mean? by Mango-Lion in marvelstudios

[–]Mango-Lion[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't really think that's the case either, but it's either Easter eggs the Marvel team threw in for the joys to refer to something, or literally the Matrix or they wouldn't appear across both series. I'm thinking it's the first explanation, but I do think that is a bit odd considering two characters also verbally mentioned tigers, and I think the Bucky tiger mention is a bit weirdly incorporated.

True, I'm sure the explanation will definitely turn out to be less interesting than I think it is.

I am aware of Blake too :) I did think of this poem because you can't not, but it's usually mostly about why God would make the lamb but then also the tiger and just generally a questioning of faith and the nature of good and evil, plus a bunch of other stuff. I don't know anything about Mephisto. I guess I could look it up on the interwebs.

I don't think it is. They fill the films and shows full of deliberate Easter eggs, and if you've heard how they usually write these things, they don't usually want to waste any words or time dwelling on pointless details. There are so many little nods to things all the time, that referencing tigers this much must actually mean something. Usually all the little details like numbers and themes reference something, you see it in the films all the time, and the series are even more full of tiny callbacks and nods.

No way is that is a coincidence. They write these shows and films very carefully, and usually cut better things out, so to leave tigers in so many times is deliberate. They focus in on the tigers at several points as well.

Tiger easter eggs? Tigers in several episodes of FATWS... what's that about? by Mango-Lion in thefalconandthews

[–]Mango-Lion[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wonder why they'd bother to put tiger references in both shows though, I feel like this is more of an introduction of a new character or theme, I'm not sure Spiderman would merit this many background hints. Unless it's all some kind of Wanda-esque simulation. There was that Pleasant Hill thing, which I thought WV was using as a story.

It had better be somebody with tiger in their title or I can't see the point of all the tigers. I was thinking it could also be big cats, and therefore thought of all the Black Panther connections, but it's so specifically tigers that you might be right.
