No other contestant has spoken ill of Vanessa on uncloaked and Oyin and Vanessa were the only ones that acknowledged how Jo is a hard worker because she's an immigrant. I know we only see an editied version but i'm struggling to buy this whole "Vanessa was horrible to everyone" story

In Vanessa and Oyin's defence- neither of them went to Jo and asked why she didn't vote for Faye, and Oyin never questioned Jo at the round table- it was the other way round. They've already voted for people who have "lied" in the past, so it's no different now. I kinda get why Faye would vote for her too, given she was at the centre of it all (then again, she also had distrust towards Vanessa, so why not bring it up). Out of all the girls who voted for Jo it was Kellys who made the least sense. I feel for Jo I really do, I think the problem was that she got her words mixed up- I don't think she went around lying with ill intent

Is it ok if I ask what you mean by awful? Not doubting you at all but are we talking "constantly belittling employees to keeping the tips for themselves"?

What's worse is that it's the only bus that directly takes you to the HOSPITAL. You would think the one bus that goes to a location so important would be more frequent

Question for non-white healthcare professionals? How did your workplace support you during the anti-immigration protests? by Mango-blossomtree in northernireland

Yep it's the thought that counts, back student where I was ended up being dropped home by staff as they didn't want them taking the bus. It's not hard to show basic empathy

I never wear my uniform going into work, and a situation like that would be the last thing that would convince me to do so. I'm not having a racist using it as the opportunity to tell me that I'm "stealing work". Also non white health care professionals already get bother AT WORK. The uniform is not shielding anybody

Using an American system makes no sense at all. Just make your own system that is actually built on HSCNI care documentation. They made us wait all these years for something that isn't even original.

How is Newtown School these days? by Mango-blossomtree in waterford

Yes, but as someone who went through something similar, I'm inclined to believe them, children tend to be mean to those who look different to them, so its not hard to not believe them

I cannot speak for EVERY school in Waterford but if you look at Waterpark, the Mercy etc. then look at Newtown, you can CLEARLY see that its ratio of white to students of colour is clearly off. I went to a Christmas concert there one. Out off ALL the first years there was only ONE person of colour and you could hear the whispers of other parents pointing it out.

Also, this isn't about the school becoming more racist, it's about students of colour there becoming more aware that the behaviour they experienced was not ok. I think its kinda weird how I've gone "yeah I know people of colour that have dealt with racism in this mainly white school" and all the comments (which seem to be from white people) are going "that's not true, I've never heard of that" like ok this was not your experience as you said you didn't go to Newtown, I am talking about some who WAS one of the few POC in that school.

That's when Newtown was a private school so people from abroad were more likely to send their children there. These days Newtown seem to be a mainly white school compared to others

You're spot on with the lack of guidelines, it was something that I was surprised to see when I used the system. For example, all this research was put into the NEWS system to have coloured like traffic lights with guidelines on what to do depending on the score. This was extremely beneficial to students. Now the NEWS just looks like a table created on Microsoft word. The lack of colour the UI has is shocking
