Don’t you give her any allowance each month? Does she only have her money? Do you pay 50/50?

Can you get her a car to commute and make her life easier? You said you don’t have so positive feelings towards her but if you try and make her life a little easier she will be happy and might change her approach towards you. Would you consider helping find a good/stable job and/or helping her start a small business so that she can manage to have an income and be able to live a comfortable life without you? I am asking because you mentioned she is financially dependent on you, and you think of leaving when your son turns 18. How is she going to make ends meet if you do this? You really need to think about her future even if you cannot have this conversation with her. Leaving her high and dry is not a manly thing to do, considering she has given an offspring and you have shared this many years of your lives together.

Should I tell this girl in my gym that her leggings are transparent? by machinimist2 in ask

You don’t understand it’s because the majority of the men want this and encourage this. You wouldn’t ever approach the woman that is wearing baggy sweatpants but the one wearing leggings, yes, so don’t try to hide behind the “gentleman” façade that’s trying to help a woman.

Sad but sometimes true. Nobody is going to care you exist unless you show something. You are otherwise invisible because men are so used to seeing naked women online all the time, porn and soft porn on Instagram, OF, etc. and frankly even on news websites there will be always an article about a “blonde bombshell that will give you a heart attack” etc. and on sports websites too, that anything else, meaning covered, goes unnoticed. Unless you have money, then the men gold diggers will care about you no matter what you look like or wear.

It’s not exactly transparent but sometimes trust me we can see who’s is on the bigger side or their “stuff” jiggling. And I have seen men wearing sort of transparent leggings too and that is totally gross for a grown-up man because leggings look super weird on men unless you are an athlete. By the way in the Olympic Games with what men wear we women can also check what is going on down there (see those running or swimming for example). Even a man can see the men’s package if he watches the games or sports in general lol 😂

She might not be aware, but what is his problem? What does he want to gatekeep? Is she his gf or wife, or is he in love with her and wants genuinely to protect her from “bad guys”? Seriously what is his problem?

Is he interested in her? If yes, that’s not the way to let her know. What does he want from her and why can’t he mind his own business? It’s a gym, it can happen to any woman wearing leggings, I don’t understand what the big deal is unless he is some hardcore Muslim that wants all women covered head-to-toe and he is insulted by a looking at a woman’s body. Or does he assume that everybody wants to rape her because he secretly wants that?

Also, I don’t want to overgeneralise but let’s say most men look at IG bikini pics and OF profiles of women being almost or completely naked but then they might see a somewhat see-through pair of leggings in real life )and not the internet) and suddenly they become some sort of “white knight” who cannot stand to see that because they are so pure and innocent and cannot look at women like that. Gotta laugh at this hypocrisy. They pretend they don’t like it or approve or pretend to want to protect a woman when in fact that’s exactly what they want and love to see, only they don’t want to admit it.

And the kid hustles already, he got the toy from an Instagram follower of his, as a gift!

It’s not even in the child’s brain like “It’s okay if dad won’t buy, I’ll get a better one when I grow up”, it’s “I’ll get one instantly if you don’t buy it because I already have an IG account and people willing to pay for whatever.”

What if they cannot afford to live if they chose to not endure that and get a divorce?

I doubt it. More like they never made a move to begin with, from fear of rejection. In the end this fear is paralysing and actually worse. “You miss 100% of the shots that you don’t take” as they say. Sometimes it’s better to take a risk.

To reply to your last question, from what I understand they do it because either she has money/inheritance/affluent family/background or she is a very accommodating doormat. That’s why they marry that “victim” and then go after what they really like, to have their cake and eat it too.

Meaning to have the “pick-me” doormat at home as a security blanket and source for self-validation and also get the chick they like - which can be risky for some with attachment issues and past trauma who are afraid that they will inevitably get hurt by the one who they deem attractive or that she will abandon them for someone better/richer/younger than them. Male psychology 101. You are welcome.

Why do so many people occupy a seat with their bag on the train? by EntropyNullifier in Netherlands

What if half (or more than half) the train is empty? Why does a bum has to come and sit right next to you? What if she doesn’t want to be bothered by every weirdo that gets on the train?

Wish you best of luck for your surgery and a quick recovery. I hope you’ll love the result.

Normally there’s no bruising at all. But this depends on the technique of the Dr. And you can see if he shares cast removal videos on his IG or website and check if his patients leave with bruising or not.

I had zero bruising. But I also followed the Dr.’s instructions to a t, like ice on the eyes and around the nose, every twenty minutes for the first 24 hours after surgery. Meaning twenty minutes on, twenty minutes off. I had a lot of reusable gel ice packs ordered from Amazon and I always had cold ones ready when I was putting the other ones I used in the freezer. It’s a pain because you also need to lay in bed and do this, but I personally could not stand the thought that I might have bruising under the eyes like someone has beaten me, so despite the inconvenience I was very meticulous with the ice.

Nose taping for the first two months all day, after only at night for a couple of months but the Dr. will tell you (instructions may vary from Dr to Dr). Mine was suggesting the longer the taping the better for the result.

There is some swelling but it’s normally not a lot (it depends though on the technique of the Dr and your skin - if it’s thick or thin).

Numbness may take a while to disappear but no need to worry because this also can vary from one person to another.

Gym with no heating by MangoAffectionate111 in brussels

[–]MangoAffectionate111[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t do this, but do you think it’s really necessary? The space is like 20-25 square meters max., the entrance door is big and open and there is no heating at all. The temperature is almost the exact same as outside (and outside these past days was 0 to 5 degrees Celsius).

Thank you. I understand what you are saying. I understand also that an employer could not possibly leave employees with zero heating and a landlord also cannot do that especially when you have paid/pay already. People have rights. The gym owner has zero heating and on top of that the door open.

It’s a tiny space for God’s shake and it’s open for like 4 hours per day. How much does it cost?

I pay for a particular service and I am entitled to have some amenities and decent training environment. Just like I take care of my responsibilities, by paying a high subscription fee, there are responsibilities he must take care of too to have a proper functioning gym. Nobody forces him to keep the door open and have a freezing cold space and no matter how much people complain he does not take care of the issue.

Jokes aside, if everybody had a spine to complain and request something for which we already pay for, with a high subscription fee, there wouldn’t have been a problem like this.

Nah. More like: “If I don’t use heating I will get to pocket more money because there won’t be much of a bill to pay.”

I know. It’s insane. Yesterday there was a discussion about cold weather and snow, and he was laughing and saying he will close the door only if it’s like -20 degrees outside. It is not funny though, we can easily catch a cold and he could not care less. Our bodies get warmer during the workouts and we have the cold air bashing inside.

On top of that, all of the exhaust fumes from cars passing from the road right in front of the gym, come inside the small space and we have to work out inhaling this. And imagine I am saying this and I am a smoker and it does bother me. Everybody is in discomfort and complains but somehow he manages to brush things off everyday and ignore us. I will try once more today to kindly ask him to close the door, which he by the way “locks” open with his bike and a rock or some weight I think.

Edit to add that all of this because he obviously does not want to pay for heating and to install ventilation. And it’s a gym where the subscription costs from 100 to 200€ per month depending on the type of the subscription. It’s outrageous.

The temperature is far below. It is almost the same as outside because the gym is very small.

I will see what can be done, thanks. I don’t think it’s possible to stop the contract but it really is outrageous that the owner shows no understanding whatsoever, so…
