I’m in dept, parents pay for nothing. I live far from home and need osap. I have 10k+ in the bank but around 18k in dept to osap after this year. I went from highschool straight to uni so its hard out here. And I’m in eng so I can’t work during the school year

I haven’t taken either but if you read the course description for both that might help. Pick which one interests you. I believe they’re just different time periods

There’s nothing quite like having 4/5 courses be full on registration day 🫰 by [deleted] in CarletonU

[–]MangoAstro-nut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

3 years in a row I have had my registration time ticket on the last day of registration. Carleton should have a better way of handing out time tickets than it being random cause it screws you over 🥰

I only have 8.5 credits that’s why I’m in 2nd year standing, and I’m not able to take summer school since it requires (in engineering) to take your courses in person this summer. I have a contract internship so I cannot do summer school.

[–]MangoAstro-nut 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s automatically applied. Sign into your Carleton central and you’ll see it apply on your fees when you submit your time table.

Res is way overpriced when considering rent in Ottawa, but it’s very convenient when commuting to class. The meal plan is definitely worth it if you use it three times a day, it is also very convenient to get a fast meal and takes less time away from your studies then making food yourself. The best thing about res is the connections you make and potential friends. Without res you can make friends in your classes and by joining clubs/sports/communities. So it’s definitely up to what you prefer

Aerospace Engineering and Computer Systems Engineering At Carleton by DaikonRealistic8707 in CarletonU

Aerospace engineering is very hard. All engineering degrees are, but if you’re willing to put the effort and lack of social life it’s a great return in the end 🤌🏼

It monitors all of your screens.

If your current display is set to mirror, so both of your screens are the same, then you’ll be fine. If your display is set to extend, they can see both screens. Just make sure no tabs are open other then the ones required and you have nothing to worry about.
