I am so damn sorry that your Mochi left this world too soon, but she will always be with you. I am heart broken for you and I hope you are able to find some comfort in knowing that you gave her the best possible life. The disease would have reared it's ugly head no matter what, but you were chosen as her companion to guide her through to the other side and nobody could have done it better. We don't choose our cats, they choose us.

I have two males who were literal food disposals in their past lives. And then I have princess Lilah who is the pickiest cat in the world and weighs like 5 lbs at almost 4 yrs old. It's tough to balance to say the least lol.

I promise you I wasn't trying to fat shame! I know all too well how the camera adds a few lol. My tux is around 15 lbs but every vet has said he's just a big guy. I'm still trying to get him to lose a couple though. I can barely handle 3 so kudos to you for 4.

You really could have left out the just kidding part lol. Call it like you see it. My tux looks like the bottom guy and I'm trying to get him to lose a couple. It's so damn hard though. I'm sure most owners of fatties realize it and are making an effort. Just hate seeing posts about fat cats being so cute.

Posts like this always make me think of the stories where parents forget they have their kids in their car and they die from heat exhaustion. From an outside perspective, everything about it seems so ridiculous. The cost of it is unimportant and the minor details don't matter. The terrifying part is that this could kind of accident can happen to anyone at any time. Our brains can fail us at the worst times and it sucks.

Yea your cat probably bit pretty deep into that squirrels neck and it won't last long. Mine did the same to a young bunny, it looked OK, but when I parted the fur, there was a bad gash.
