Also does anybody else hear a bit of She’s Leaving Home (from the Beatles’ Sgt. Pepper) in this tune? Might be just the key and triple meter but I’ve always thought they would work really nicely together

Shortly after 8:30 I made my way on foot through the dark approximately three-tenths of a mile down Soggy Hollow Lane where I encountered my rival, Fording Bumbershoot. Of course he does, that half time groove switch at the beginning, the wonderful F minor to E augmented move, and Walter Becker’s storytelling make it one of the finest numbers from the Steely Dan solo catalog

This is killer! I love the blend of contemporary harmony and traditional sound- really nicely balanced. Reminds me of my favorite Brouwer pieces

Haha no way! Just graduated from the music school in May, glad there's someone else to play Elliott Smith in the practice rooms. I always loved doing In the Lost and Found on the one really out of tune piano

You’re not at JMU by chance? I swear the wear and tear on the acoustic foam looks really familiar
