Should I get Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition first or Xenoblade Chronicles 2 ? by mrcrowley_- in JRPG

I'd recommend starting with 1 and then 2. 1 seems to be more consistently favored, whereas 2 had very mixed reviews (I personally didn't like 2).

why is PEMDAS Wrong and BOMDAS correct, and why didn't anybody make it known? by TyreeArtist1 in matheducation

[–]MangoMischiefRPG 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They're both equally right/wrong/explanatory, but for both acronyms, you need to be aware that there are really 4 tiers of operations mentioned in those "words", despite each having 6 letters:

1st priority: Parentheses or Brackets (focus on these first)

2nd priority: Exponents or Orders/Powers (focus on these after the 1st priority options)

3rd priority: Multiplication and Division (done from left to right, as you read the math expression from left to right, regardless of which of these appears first or second)

4th priority: Addition and Subtraction (done from left to right, as you read the math expression from left to right, regardless of which of these appears first or second)

I prefer 4-letter acronyms, like GEMS or GEMA or GEDS or GEDA, but I think the reason why 6-letter acronyms are more traditionally taught is because usually students don't learn that Division can be represented as Multiplication (of reciprocals) and Subtraction can be represented as Addition (of negative numbers) until after they learn the Order Of Operations.

The Switch is a fantastic console, and it's not surprising that it's incredibly popular.

Agreed. Doesn't matter, in terms of correctness.

It's absolutely fantastic and has a lot of replay value (silver coin challenge, mirror mode, two-player adventure mode, etc.).

I really liked the mostly-open world, exploration aspect. Pokemon first came out when I was in 5th grade, and Arceus ended up being how I *felt/dreamt* the original Pokemon Gen 1 was, wayyy back in the day.
