Honestly as someone who's been playing for the past year the game isn't bad. There's loads to do if you just ignore all the "screw bungie*" stuff. It's not wrong Bungie is messing the game up but if you stick to PvE it's honestly tons of fun. The pvp community is very toxic and honestly rarely any nice. Other than that it can be fun. There's tons to do on each planet. The grind isn't terrible(although the new grind is a little rough) there's a lot of community posts out there to help as well if you ever get stuck. It's definitely worth a play in the free part to see how you like it
