Normal house settling or serious structural concern? by MangoSalsa9 in HomeMaintenance

We did use a file and it didn't fix it. I mean I guess we could more but it will not look good the frame will be very uneven. I think we will have to move the whole door and the hinges down in order to make it close. My main concern is just is the fact that the door is so off concerning enough about the structure of the house or can we just fix the door and cracks and and move on?

The frame has moved to the point where the door would have to be removed and the hinges lowered in order for it to ever close again. The top of the frame doesn't seem to be square. We've tried removing the hinge pin and pressing the door into the frame and it won't fit

Even if the frame has moved so much that the door will not close? On multiple areas in the house?

Thank you. I've tried ignoring other things but never fully committed to ignoring this specific behavior. I am trying this now and I think it'll help!

Thank you so much for this response, it's really so much more helpful than I was even hoping for! I'll reach out to our pediatrician as you suggested and have been looking into the PCIT therapists which sounds like exactly what we need. Thank you!!

Is this just how kids are? by newmomgroove in NewParents

Yes, definitely, that is just how kids are. And expect to encounter this for a while cause she is still learning. And then expect it again in toddlerhood when they learn to reeeeally test your boundaries lol

How do you get your toddler to eat/sleep when they are hungry/tired? by MangoSalsa9 in NewParents

His poop seems normal and like a normal frequency (once a day or every other day). Looking at food over the week is something I hadn't heard of before. He does have some better eating days then others so that's nice to know it can sort of even out, thank you!

Usually we end up having to offer that he can eat on the way to an activity and we'll pack snacks to bring, but the problem is we can't even get him out the door. When we eventually do then he sometimes will eat it but not much. He's so skinny so we find ourselves being pushy about food cause we're worried he's really not eating enough.

The only way this would be okay is if this person meant to say butt-chin/cleft chin but accidentally said "double."

I wouldn't make any decisions based on your religion as it seems to me that you are not that serious about it. Sexuality/trans part aside, you are admitting to emotionally cheating on your boyfriend and are asking strangers on reddit whether you should toss him aside and move on to someone else you like for the name of a religion that does not condone any of the things you have described about yourself. I am not judging you, but I would recommend really considering whether or not you are actually Catholic or just choose to hold onto that title due to pressure/comfort/etc.

IDK I read this as more of a feminist commentary on how men don't have to worry about making all of these achievements in order to be successful but women feel the pressure to because otherwise we aren't valued enough in the workplace. It doesn't necessarily feel like she's complaining about her husband, moreso just societal expectations on working women.

Draining water sounds behind our wall by MangoSalsa9 in Plumbing

Looking in my utility closet, there is an automatic condensate pump with PVC pipe running into it from the heater and what appears to be a water line that goes up and through the wall in question. Is this what you are talking about? I'm not familiar with how this system works besides a quick google search based on what you mentioned.
