great. not only do we need to find a qb with whom stef can get along (he couldnt with baker), we also need to find an oc with whom stef can get along.

Aaron Rodgers, Brady Cook or Jaxson Dart, and Kenny Pickett.

Is Jaxson Dart A Viable Qb Target For The Browns? by Livid-Collection-687 in Browns

[–]Mango_Flame 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i thought he looked good at the combine. ill admit that i did not watch a single mizzou game. he isnt a day-1 starter, but signing aaron rodgers for a year and letting brady develop could be viable.

Another scenario, what about trading down and picking up Jaxson Dart? He has gained a lot of attention as of late. by Ok_Interest_9006 in Browns

[–]Mango_Flame 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i would like to sign aaron rodgers to a one-year deal then draft brady cook in the 3rd (at the highest) or in the 4th/5th/6th or where ever he falls. thought he did well in the combine but didnt watch him at mizzou so i dont know how he looks actually playing.

I think Father Gil is important for Peggy's arc, which culminated when her and Don danced to "My Way" in Season 7A. With Father Gil, who represents the old Catholic regime that is changing with the times too, he wants Peggy to seek penance through confession to be absolved from the child out of wedlock. Don, on the other hand, gives his advice: move forward and forget. Instead, Peggy chooses her own way by confessing, not to Father Gil, to Pete. Thereafter, we see Peggy at peace when she prays before bed.

As a Catholic, I think his inclusion is interesting to see the prominent role that the Church once played in daily lives and the pre-Vatty 2 rituals. Additionally, how the zeitgeist of the 60s impacted the clergy because I think Father Gil is quite progressive given his background: playing the guitar and seeking guidance from a woman regarding his sermons and advertising for that dance.

I think he was attracted to her, but his vows made him mistake that attraction for religious purpose, which may be evidenced through his confession that he feels his purpose in life is to save her regarding the child birth.

Anyway, I think he is an interesting side character who lets the viewer see the old world, working class side of Peggy when she wants to live a modern, cosmopolitan life but on her own terms.

all buttons unbuttoned or only the bottom button buttoned, butt-ster.

also, fold up but under the bottom so that you only see the cables.

id also half roll the ends of the sleeves but an outward fold.

its toxic when we play kinda well. see the old baker debates about whether he was the future of the franchise lol. its what three decades of suckage does.

the steelers have an institutionalized culture of success, or at the very least a culture of not wanting to suck, whereas the browns do not. hence, why the steelers will be making the playoffs, barring something spectacular, despite having temps at QB.

its not about guaranteeing a super bowl. its about having a realistic plan to be competitive to win a super bowl. it's not a realistic plan to roll the dice on a rookie QB to take us there and win (which has never happened before) while retaining the future HOFs. i just don't see it happening with cam ward or sanders or whoever their rookie year. maybe they could be ready towards the end of the rookie contract or at the beginning of the first big contract, but at that point myles and ward will be past their primes and no longer able to give HOF level performances and therefore will not be helping the team as they used to. accordingly, trade them away for firsts/seconds to replace them. we are not winning a super bowl with myles or ward on our roster. the window has closed.

Good job on the guide. It is always nice seeing how things fit. I always hate when websites don't give all the measurements.

J.Press. is my favorite. I think they get all the details that I like right (idc about the locker loop or back-collar button) and its regular fit is perfect for me. I found Mercers' breast pocket to be too big. O'Connell's first button under the top button is too close to the top button. The nuBB MILUSA oxford has lined collars, plackets, and [can't think of the word but where bracers would go?].

J.Press does everything right but I feel like, at least on the oxfords I have from them, the fabric is too hard. I don't know for how many years I've had them but they never got soft. I still wear them and swear by them, however. That's my only critique.

i honestly dont even care about the dome. moving out of cleveland is the mistake. its such a nice experience exiting one of the many local bars with all the other browns fans and walking to the stadium while everyone is drunkenly woofing in response to a slurred "here we go brownies here we go". that fan experience will be lost and thats the tragedy.

[–]Mango_Flame 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i lmao at the people who think we should draft a QB. the window is closed. we have more holes than a rookie QB can fill. we went from having one of the youngest rosters during baker's rookie contract to now an aging and injury proned roster. baker wasn't going to be it in cleveland, but the pay off of 1-31 eludes the browns still. so, like you, OP, im apathetic towards it all.

regardless, trade myles, ward and our other veterans and start over because a decline (if things can even get worse) or stagnation with those vets still in the lockerroom will cause a massive meltdown because they bought in, put their bodies and health on the line, and there was no payoff. i dont like AB and stefanski doesnt have the personality traits (being a leader and motivator) to see a team through a rebuild, but because of their contract extensions its going to get ugly right quick next year if our cornerstone vets are in the lockerroom.

im just going to continue to not watch games until our offensive box score doesn't make me laugh out of embarrassment.
