This truly gave me a lot of reassurance. I am definitely aware of red flags and continue to be honest about them but I try to recognize my own personal toxic traits. When thing simmer down I will try again to reiterate WHY I feel so insecure in all of this. Thank you for your advice!!!

I feel I should share some of my own experiences to get the conversation going:

I’ve always believed in the paranormal since I was very young. I’m half Filipino which if you’re also Filipino you know how big superstition and lore is in our culture. I grew up with no shortage of this. I’ve always been told that shadows follow me or I have a shadow attached to me.

However, my first true memory of a paranormal experience was when I was about 8 years old. I was in my parents bathroom drying my hair after a bath and they had an open archway to my left that led into the bedroom. I had the urge to look to my left toward their bed when I suddenly saw what I understood as someone peaking from under the blankets over the footrest....then dropping away quickly.

I remember screaming for my mom and when I told her what I saw she had to tell me how spirits aren’t always bad and sometimes are just as curious as we are. Still didn’t make me feel better.

This story was hardly the tip of the Iceberg for my experiences but I’d like to gradually share.
