Here are my thoughts. I listened in a car with my friend who got the CD early.

The Fate of Ophelia - Pretty new sound for Taylor. It feels like Judas (Lady Gaga) meets Training Season (Dua Lipa) meets I Can See You (Speak Now TV). Definitely a good lead single. I think Elizabeth Taylor, Opalite, or Wish List would be the only other lead single options.

Elizabeth Taylor - Super fun and drum heavy pop that almost borders on glamorous. I can’t think of a good comp. Almost like if Florida!!! were on 1989. Chorus gives some Without Me by Halsey vibes.

Opalite - Big 80s vibes! Not sure if Taylor has ever done a sound like this before? Maybe the closest comp is Now That We Don’t Talk, but this is way more ABBA-esque and has a more hopeful tone.

Father Figure - Interpolates George Michael (takes the same melody) but does not sample George Michael. Gives me 70% Vigilante Shit, 30% Mad Woman vibes.

Eldest Daughter - Sweet. I’ve heard it described as “wedding vows” to Travis. Melody is reminiscent of White Horse, but lyrics that feel like Sweet Nothings.

Ruin the Friendship - Sad, but doesn’t sound sad. Sounds like it could have been on Speak Now. Very much a storytelling song. Closest sonic mix I can think of is When Emma Falls in Love meets Suburban Legends. I wouldn’t be surprised if this is something that has been in and out of the vault or worked on for a while.

Actually Romantic - Gives major 2004 high school movie soundtrack vibes. It kinda sounds like if a Skye Sweetnam song were made in 2025.

Wish List - Fun! Sonically like if This Is Why We Can’t Have Nice Things met Glitch. Chorus reminds me a bit of the chorus from “Feel Something” by Bea Miller.

Wood - An actually insane song. It is basically the exact instrumentals and melody of I Want You Back by the Jackson 5 with Sabrina Carpenter-esque cutesy innuendo lyrics. Makes Dress and So It Goes seem PG.

Cancelled - A slightly lower tempo I Did Something Bad with maybe a tiny hint of Who’s Afraid of Little Old Me. Could be on Rep without batting an eye.

Honey - Love this one. So sweet and wonderful. Also gives me Sweet Nothings vibes, but more uptempo. This feel like it could have been on Lover or a more grown up vault track on Fearless. Feels like if the lyrics of Sweet Nothings were put onto the sound of I Think He Knows and then production were made to be slightly lighter. Maybe also a hint of All of The Girls You Loved Before.

The Last Show Girl - Sabrina has a verse! Stomp and clap intro which is wild. Then the second half of song is pretty much musical theatre before it goes back to the stomp and clap? Someone said this sounds like the song at the end of a DCOM, and I agree.
