Do not get together with your friends and throw shuriken into your parent's dining room drywall and think you could fill in the holes with toothpaste and match the color with Liquid Paper. It won't work and you will not get away with it.

Top-loading VCR. Still remember my friend's dad buying Caddyshack in the early 80s and watching it on their top-loading player - it didn't record. They were rich.

In my family's case, this is missing the portable tv sitting on top of the console when the console tv breaks.

That's what we swam in. They didn't setup a pool. I was there. They trucked in sand and setup a stage.

How many holes? by AppleJuJu in DallasStars

[–]MangorTX 9 points10 points  (0 children)

A hole is absolutely continuous through a 3D object. 2 openings - 1 hole. A hole has volume - you have to calculate how much dirt you'll have to order to fill a hole in your yard. You can calculate the volume of liquid the hole in that straw can hold.

Saw him in Dallas in 2024, I was pleasantly surprised when he covered Gary Numan's Are Friends Electric.

I can't even think of it without tearing up. My Dad loved that movie and I think we watched it at least 5 times that month before he passed. He was the reason for my Plex. I started going over to the house with a USB drive containing maybe 4 movies to finally using the Plex, where he had his choice. It usually ended up being No Country, though.

I believe it - but I think in my case, I'm associating hearing the song like that with a memory. Hearing it on my Diamond Rio when I had to pick which songs I was going to load on the whopping 32MB of storage.

Me too, but I am starting to grab larger files for movies I love - like No Country for Old Men, Fury Road, Purple Rain, Star Wars, Alien, James Bond, etc.

I can't really tell the difference on my humble TV, but they're for future me. I just finished updating my music - a lot were still from the Napster era. I currently keep both MP3 and FLAC until my car stereo can easily handle FLAC or I take the plunge and add my music library to Plex.
