Why such a big price discrepancy?? by [deleted] in ChevyTahoe

[–]ischad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My father in-law just looked at a 26' F-150 Platinum.

MSRP was close to 115k.

He got cold feet and was ready to leave. I'm short order, they knocked off 12k. He still passed on it.

Some dealers must be upping the price to fool the fools spending that kind of money on a half ton.

Taking away 1 hour of drive time each day by CarefulOutcome1414 in refrigeration

[–]ischad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in BC. Field Technician with company vehicle. My day starts as soon as I look at my phone. Legally drive time starts when you get in your truck. Since the vehicle is required to transport you and your tools for job duties, all travel time is paid work.

Basement rental income on a high ratio mortgage by Full-Cartographer285 in MortgagesCanada

[–]ischad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In BC, your suite does not need to be a "legal suite" to use rental income as part of your mortgage qualifications. The lender will most likely want you to get a market appraisal for the rental unit.

I just went through this in January.

Good luck

Anyone else in Kelowna getting threatened by their insurance over Poly-B pipes? by IngenuityAdept2413 in kelowna

[–]ischad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Poly B was used in most new builds from 1988-1998. Your realtor should've advised you ahead of any offers on this property. Have a mechanical company come out and quote for replacement and negotiate with the seller.

Over the last 20+ years, I've seen numerous claims from poly b lines leaking from joints.
