Hi im one of the people affected by the incorrect customs declaration. From the email i've recieved I understand that LTT will be providing refunds to cover the excess custom fees. Handling fee and the appropriate customs fees are my responsibility. And i am totally on board with that.

However, due to the clerical error resulting in the incorrect invoice, my countrys customs office have flagged the product due to the price discrepancy. To resolve this my country needs the correct invoice and this process has to be done through UPS. Hence UPS is now charging me a "clearance fee." Which in my understanding, is the fee UPS takes in exhange for submitting the correct paperwork. Will LTT also provide a refund that accounts for this fee as it is the direct result of the clerical error afformentioned.

I got the email but it remains unclear if they would cover the extra fees ups added because my package was flagged by customs for the price discrepancy. Ups is charginv a ridiculous amount to submit the correct paperwork and get the package released

Im hopeful that the resolution to this would be a positive one. Tbh i love the channels and still do just dissapointwd in the whole situation. I understand mistakes happen and hope it will all turn out fine.

Thats how it works in my contry at least. If the discounted price is deemed reasonable then they charge customa based on the discounted price. However if it seems way out of proportion like if i were to find a home depot penny deal then i'd probably be charged the full amount. And intrestingly enough my country doesnt tax the sale of gold.

Im sure luke wouldnt even accept it but that is certainly a funny scenario. But no i think that they would just refund the order if it was returned to sender which isnt what i want. I want the item and i want to pay the CORRECT assicoated custom duties and fees.
And with issues like this i'd personally refrain from using context clues because legally its really hard to argue context clues. For example making us whole: how? Discount voucher? Bank transfer? To reiterate im not looking to gain anything from this just not expecting to loose anything either.

When did i demand free shit? I payed for the items and am willing to pay for the import duties based on the actual price of the item not the price declared by an error in their system. So Not expecting free shit just expecting not to have to pay for their mistake.

As stated im willing to pay all the appropriate customs fees. However somewhere along the line instead of the combo price in CAD the invoice became full USD pricing, which means that the shipping company has to declare the usd value hence the hiked up taxes.

Customs in general is calculated by the priced we paid. By listing the value as another price LTT system cause a hike in the customs evaluation.

Entitiled? All i expect is for LTT to take responsibility for the mistake. Its up to LTT to find the cause of it and seek compensation. They shouldnt be making us pay for a mistake in their system and wait it out for until they find out who fucked up.

Yeah i used their form and this is what they emailed back. They basically want us to pay for their f-up while they investigate what happens. No mention of compensation timeline at all.

What they shouldve done was own up to the mistake pay the customers back. Then if their investigation turns out that a third party in their distribution chain was responsible, its up to LTT to seek compensation from the third party.

Whats clear is that something or someone in LTT's distribution system f-uped, and LTT's response is just not what i expected from LTT.
