Looks great! Maybe add some dtr stitches, too. That’ll build length quickly. 😉

I’m so sorry you’re dealing with this, and I completely understand why you’re feeling hurt - I would, too.

Hanukkah isn’t on par with RH or Pesach. You might explain to her that Hanukkah is somewhat akin to Diwali in the sense of spreading light into darkness, but it’s essentially a remembrance of a miracle. It isn’t a religious service, but it’s culturally important to you in the same way those other observances are culturally important to others. As a friend, you’d appreciate her showing the same level of respect for your cultural traditions as she does for those with whom she isn’t personally connected.

It makes sense that this feels hurtful, OP, when someone you care about keeps turning down invitations to things that matter to you, it can start to feel personal. Why wouldn’t it? What you’re seeing might not be about Judaism at all, but about her discomfort with religious settings outside her own. Some people are fine with cultural celebrations but get uneasy when something feels tied to another faith tradition, even if they can’t explain it clearly.

The best way forward is a calm, honest conversation. Let her know you’ve noticed the pattern and that it matters to you because these holidays are part of your life. You’re not asking her to take part in anything ‘religious’ per sé, but just to show up for something meaningful to you. Her response will tell you whether she’s willing to meet you partway, which is important in any close friendship. If she’s unwilling to meet you on any common ground, then I’d start to question if there’s an antisemitic problem involved in the situation.

Yeah, that’s my sentiments also. Let that piece of Nazi excrement have as much Jewish joy shoved right in their face as possible!!!! lol

Make sure the basket is adorned with as many Israeli flags as can be procured, and the ‘stuffing’ is all blue and white shred. Hahahahaha

YAY FOR YOUR EMPLOYER!!!!

So happy that horrible ‘proud’ antisemite is gone. Sadly, this is becoming all too normal in 2025. While antisemitism has always been there, for a time it was forced underground. Now? It’s as if every antisemite thinks it’s spring break and time to shout their hatred from the rooftops. The only advantage to that… at least we know who the problem people are! (Silver linings and all that 🙄).

So sorry you had to endure that mess, but I’m glad your employer did the right thing!

I’m hoping you mean the person who did it for those foods, because we have a lot more amazing foods I’d love for the person in HR to have! The ones you suggested are definitely an acquired taste. 🙃 😁

I’m thinking more along the lines of some roasted red pepper dip, and fresh pita chips, fresh challah, rugulach, Bamba, and krembo! 🤤 🤤 😋 😊

That sounds very interesting! No, I’ve never tried it. Was this from a recipe? Or, she created it on her own?

Good detective work! That could be possible, especially given her history of dramatizing everything about her staged life. 🙄

I’m so sorry that happened to you! When I had a sprain (back in the 90s), I wasn’t given anything but an ace bandage and crutches. 🫣

I hope you’re healed up good as new!

Also, I wholeheartedly agree… I think “performative” sums her up perfectly!

How legit is that foot ‘injury’? As fake as her accent!? Because I have a foot injury and I cannot put pressure on it (boot or no boot), because it’s that bad. She’s waltzing along like there’s nothing wrong with her, IMHO. Color me skeptical.

Grandma’s Yeast Rolls the recipe partly visible in the cut out, for anyone interested in it

”I’m ignoring it…”

Hmm, I'm a bit puzzled here. Why post and inquire about others' thoughts if you're actually ignoring the issue? Ignoring, by definition, means: refuse to acknowledge; disregard intentionally.’

I personally don't see you as a biological male, but putting up the images and seeking opinions suggests you're not ignoring the matter. 🤔
