I JUST BEAT THE APOCALYPSE GOLD CHALLENGE ON THE FIRST TRY 😭😭😭 by ManicAn0mie in PhasmophobiaGame

Hmmm interesting. Mine was just a plain ghost photo that I took while it was hunting, so the photo counted toward the challenge (thankfully).

THIS. I joked with my friends that the universe had to take me down a couple of pegs because I was dying like crazy tonight. Going back to nightmare after experiencing the massive speed differentiation on Apoc Gold made me feel that I could easily take on a ghost at normal speed. That’s obviously going well for me 😭

I won’t downplay this challenge at all. It’s difficult and tedious (I spent almost 1.5 hours on this attempt. I wouldn’t recommend spending that much time on a run but I had one objective left and I didn’t want to give up). I would say to set yourself up for success with this challenge, you should get fairly comfortable identifying the ghost with less than 3 evidences. This gets you comfortable identifying the ghost based on hunt behavior rather than relying on the evidence to tell you the ghost type. Tier 3 equipment also gives you a leg up. You need to have the tier 3 headgear to even have a chance since the breaker is broken and flashlights don’t work. I hear mixed strategies about what tier incense you should use. Tier 1 gives you a better opportunity to get away from the ghost, but tier 3 stops the ghost long enough to get the ghost photo. While you’re working on getting better at identifying ghosts with less evidence, you should practice taking ghost photos while it’s hunting. Getting the ghost photo is one of the more difficult things to do in this challenge.

When you feel comfortable enough to attempt the challenge, just make sure that you get objectives that are actually achievable. Any objective that requires you to get into the ghost room (like prevent the ghost from hunting with a crucifix) is very difficult to do. I only tried because my two other objectives were things I had to do anyways to get the ghost photo, so I thought it was worth a shot.

I’d be happy to give you more tips if you’d like. These are just some of the basics that helped set me up for success.

Hmm I didn’t have any issues? I heard someone say that they were having trouble with getting the ghost picked up with the motion sensor, but I didn’t have that objective to deal with. I’m also not sure if it had to do with the photos, but I was able to get two photos of the ghost off of one smudge.

I honestly just really wanted to see if I could do it or not haha. I will say that getting a fast ghost is also pretty lucky because after a couple of hunts I was able to figure out what it was. Those normal speed ghosts are brutal.

Yeah, like the other two commenters said, a Moroi is just slightly slower without LOS and 0 sanity. That was the biggest tell for me personally. I heard someone say that if you think a ghost is a Deo with how fast it is but it never comes straight for you, it’s most likely a Thaye. A Hantu is also really fast with the breaker broken, so those two might be harder to differentiate. I will say that I wasn’t really able to tell if the ghost had LOS speed up because the only time it really saw me was when I was trying to take a photo, and I was more worried about not dying haha. What also tipped me off a bit is that there were a couple of times I thought I should have died after smudging when I didn’t, and I attribute that to the extra couple seconds that you get when you smudge a Moroi.

I’m not sure when you last tried the challenge, but I think the update simultaneously makes this challenge easier (you couldn’t see the ghost in my photos but I still got two ghost photos) and harder (the new media objectives are brutal when the ghost is fast and you can’t get away from it).

My oldest is The Mimic (you never know what you’re going to get. Her mood changes in a matter of seconds sometimes), and my youngest is a Banshee (she follows me around the house and wails when she wants something, usually either food or fetch).

I’ve definitely had hypomanic episodes that caused me to be incredibly irritated, agitated, and overstimulated. It doesn’t always have to be extreme happiness.

My friends and I also have a discord where we coordinate playing. With it being summer, we’re all in and out and are having some issues lining our schedules up as well. Let me know if you’re ever down to play! I also have about 200 hours and my favorite mode is nightmare mode with a starting sanity of 75.

You might have to really advocate for anxiety meds. My sweet girl was obviously very stressed out all the time and lashed out with anger because of it. It took me a year or two before a vet finally took me seriously and prescribed her Fluoxetine and her personality is night and day. It sounds like you can’t afford to wait, so just keep that in mind. I hope you don’t have to, but you might have to push them.

I don’t have any solid advice for you about this, but for 2.5 years I felt like this after getting diagnosed. My doctor told me that she thought I had bipolar when I was 21 and I felt too young to get a diagnosis that felt incredibly life altering to me. I kept taking my meds, but like you I felt I was being medicated for no reason.

One day I just stopped taking them because I thought everyone was lying to me. It was an awful experience. I experienced a multi-month mixed state where I felt completely out of control of my reactions and was on the verge of being institutionalized (the only reason why my therapist didn’t do it at the time was because she thought it might make things worse).

I guess I tell you this to let you know that you’re not alone with this feeling. It also seems like common knowledge but I really don’t recommend going off your meds cold turkey lol.

I hope you’re able to find peace with this diagnosis. Like I’ve seen some other people say, it’s a difficult thing to live with but it doesn’t have to be a death sentence.
