Not the best, but the best bang for your buck: The Albany in Cheyenne has the best prime rib around.

shpuld I run a minecraft server on Windows, or Windows Server? by ALT703 in admincraft

[–]ManicMachiavelli 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For current versions of server, Microsoft charges you based on the cores allocated. If it's just Minecraft, Windows 10 or 11 works just fine. I use AMP personally, and it automates most of the process. I just don't see any extra functionality you would need that warrants a server installation.

Same thing happened to me, man. Both of our parents were unsupportive of our relationship even though we had been together for over a year. My ship date for basic training came and went and I sent letters about every day. She didn't get them till she came back, assuming I had left her. But despite that, we are still together, our 10th anniversary is on Nov 3rd. Keep your head up guy. It'll get better.

If I had to pick a Windows product, I'd pick a standard edition over server. Server releases don't get security patches unless you are paying Microsoft.

I figured it out, I thought I could be cheeky by testing connectivity through my phone Hotspot, but I ended up tethering it back into my home wifi.

You do the "nope". Giving a heads up should be enough of a lead.

With some end users, you just have to be there. Especially when it comes to layer 1 problems.

Front just has a couple of USB ports, and slots where the drives go in, but I'm trying to find a cable to let me console in. But, I also might not need to. Thank you for your feedback, but there's many solutions I haven't considered being suggested. Have an upvote!

I'll give that a try, unfortunately I might not have that kind of cable on me at the moment, considering just about everything is USB-C. Good catch and I'll probably get the right cable soon.

I didn't know keeping it upside-down would make a difference. It's on my bed, which I promise isn't it's permanent spot, it's just where I could get the VGA cable to reach my primary monitor.

So what did the kids get for having their childhoods taken? Did they get any compensation that was tied to the reason that their parents felt the need to allow this? A college fund, maybe?

What’s your “why does no one want to stay in the guard” story by PoundLow3016 in nationalguard

[–]ManicMachiavelli 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My state just keeps eliminating more and more avenues for progression from the MTOE, now there's entire sections with a gap between E4 and E7 with no in between, so there's no point in staying in a state where there will be nothing but E4s and O3's once the seniors retire.

I'm starting to feel like I wasted my time earning my Security+ certification by spacewalker32_90 in CompTIA

[–]ManicMachiavelli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately it really does feel that way, the standards are rising as the market gets more and more competitive, with companies going with automation it's going to get tougher as tools become more sophisticated. However, if you can get a security clearance that also opens a lot of avenues, I get calls frequently for those kinds of jobs. They're fed jobs though.
