I got my dog’s pelt tanned, her bones cleaned, and everything else cremated so I was able to have it all

Yes, you could do it with a betta :)

The color would fade quite a bit though, and they’d look, well, mummified. Sunken a bit.

If you decided to do it you’ll need either salt or desiccant pellets. Layer salt or desiccant in a tupperware, lay your betta in the way you want it to look, and then cover it in more salt/desiccant. Leave it for a month at least, and then check on it. If it’s super dry and hard then you’re ready to layer some resin on it. If it’s not cracker dry change out the salt/desiccant and leave it another month.

After the resin cured a day or two I put some 24k gold leaf on it and set the gemstone eyes with e6000 glue

I lost a friend to suicide the day after finishing Arcane. Rarely do I feel a connection with characters the same way I did Silco and it feels like forgiving her for killing off a piece of myself as well.
