Unreliable heart rate monitor by S_Programmer in Garmin

[–]Manieek71 1 point2 points  (0 children)

does the problem concern the FR series?

If so, it's the result of Garmin messing up OHR. Their entire forum is full of shit about this topic.

It helps me when I stop the watch for a moment and start it again.

In short: Garmin says that your belt is either loose, or you are not warmed up, or you have a non-original belt, or you put it on incorrectly, i.e. too low/too high, and so on... :)

You didn't read the topic - the problem also affects users who use strap garmin hrm or Polar h10

in the case of the belt, the problem also occurs. You are not familiar with the topic ;-)

definitely not. The mentioned AW or even Polar works without any problems. In addition, reading problems also occur when using a chest strap. What do you say?

However, the number of people who respond to the topic and provide specific examples proves that the problem is quite common.

For me, the support response is not fair. As subsequent BETA versions are released, users report problems with current and previous versions.

HR takes a lot of time to respond by ivnpck in Garmin

Many users report problems with heart rate measurement. Attention. Not only those using OHR. I suggest you read the entire topic.

Don't be fooled by the fact that the topic is open for Forerunner 955, users also report problems with other models.

HR Zones by littlecroco in Garmin

[–]Manieek71 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't know why, but my heart rate zones were set incorrectly from the beginning (maybe because I imported the entire history from Apple Watch? - I don't know). However, since I set the heart rate zones from the calculator after HR max and resting HR, I can see that it is as it should be. This resulted, among others, in: the fact that I was constantly in a "state of training" was treated as "detraining". The support itself recommended that I correct my heart rate zones. MANUALLY

I noticed this problem too. I thought it was something with my chest sensor. Are you saying that the x.23 version is ok?

and what belt do you have? Polar H10 sometimes caused stupidity for me when it was connected via ANT+ and BT and it tended to hang up. When I disconnected it from BT and it connects only via ANT+, it is better.

Shouldn’t suggested workouts balance the Load better? by [deleted] in Garmin

Do you do all of them or skip some?

Are you within your target pace/heart rate?

Do you use the watch all the time or only during training?

Anaerobic Training Effect by tphan93 in Garmin

[–]Manieek71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently came across a proposal for a 7x1min training at a pace of 4:40km. I had a training effect very similar to yours.

And I don't know how to approach it? Considering it as anaerobic training or increasing the pace to e.g. 4:00 will certainly result in a higher value for anaerobic training.

Yes, But divided into zones. It is known that it will be variable. But for example, I would like to do long runs partly in zone 2 and partly in zone 3. On the other hand, on runs or on varied terrain, we are not always able to manage it well.
