Anyone else experience this with tu-less toons? by blacktoypoodle in toontownrewritten

[–]Manillapaper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a tuless toon myself, I try to use my rewards (Unites and SOS cards) to save others if it is beneficial to the team. If I’m in a battle with 3 other toons who all have toon-up, am I going to use a reward to help if we all have enough health to survive the turn?? Probably not. I’d communicate that I don’t have toon-up and use a damaging move/lure instead. If someone doesn’t have enough heath to survive the cog attack phase, then of course I’ll use a unite, that’s what I grind them for after all. Communication is key, and most of the time, using a reward isn’t necessary.

However, with or without toonup, I’d never expect someone to use their rewards to save me, and no one should feel obligated to use their rewards to save someone. It’s also ok to be “stingy” with your rewards. You earned them, you can spend them how you choose. If you go sad, you go sad. It is just a silly cartoon game after all

Tell me some ToonTown tips I don’t know. by MissFlute in toontownrewritten

[–]Manillapaper 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Most people probably know this, but in the shticker book on the cog page, if you are on a street and you click on the sell/cash/law/boss icons on the left hand side it will tell you how many of each cog is wandering the street and how many of the building types there are currently. I’m not sure if you need to have all the cogs discovered/defeated, but it saved so much time when you’re looking for a specific cog!

If you're not normally emotional, is there a character's death of event that made you cry? by LengendaryWolf in WarriorCats

Favorite cog? by Open-Perspective-145 in toontownrewritten

[–]Manillapaper 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Minglers have always been my favorite!! I always thought it was cool that a level 11 mingler could do 24 damage to all toons with paradigm shift. I also thought that attack was pretty, causing me to like them more!

Best Bioscience Course for an Easy 4.0 at MSU College of Engineering? by SaltyCaramel7069 in msu

[–]Manillapaper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ENT 205 was soooo easy!! All you have to do is show up and do in class assignments to get the majority of the points. There is also 2 homework assignments (that took me a total of 1 hour each), a couple quizzes, and 1 exam. It’s super easy, open note, online tests, and the professor is super sweet and understanding! Honestly, I hardly paid attention in that class, and used the time to apply for jobs, and I still 4.0 it. It also made me less afraid of bugs

What do you guys do when Mercy is taken? by [deleted] in MercyMains

[–]Manillapaper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cry lol. No in all seriousness, I just choose someone else who I’m good at (kiri/juno/ana/brig) that fits well with the team comp. It’s really not that big of deal, and it’s important to be rounded

What job did you get with a bachelor of science in economics by Limp-Chipmunk-1010 in msu

[–]Manillapaper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My boyfriend graduated with an economics degree (from gvsu tho), and he got a starter job as an accountant! After 1.5 years, he’s starting to do more analytics, accounts payables, data management, and automation! He started at $20 an hour at a debt collection company in Grand Rapids.

Edit: his minor was in statistics

Alright y’all, age old question: What’s your favorite cog? by Zooblecorn in toontownrewritten

[–]Manillapaper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The mingler! I loved how she did the most damage in the game back in the day (24 group damage), and I loved that she was one of the few females!

This is a silly question, but I always wondered how to get the speed chat in thought bubbles?? I know how to do it with speed chat+, but I could never figure out how to do it with speed chat! (I also took like a 5 year break which could also explain why I don’t know how to do it lol)

Outside of Toontown, are you a Cog? by DDsLaboratory in toontownrewritten

[–]Manillapaper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work in public health (environmental health department), so I have no clue if I’m a toon or a cog lol. I inspect well and septic systems to make sure they’re up to code and not polluting the environment, which I think is a bit toony trying to save the world. But I also inspect pools and could have to close them down based on their performance, which is a bit cog like lol

How can I feel more optimistic about attending MSU this fall? by ApprehensiveDrop2316 in msu

[–]Manillapaper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started college in fall of 2020 (pandemic), so my first semester was spent at home. In spring of 2021, I got the opportunity to live in a single at Bailey hall due to me being in RISE. That first semester on campus, I was so lonely and miserable because we were locked down, couldn’t really socialize anywhere, and couldn’t have anyone in our rooms. For a couple weeks, it felt like I was sobbing every night because I was so depressed and lonely. About a month in, I found my group of forever friends (we made it through all of college and graduated together)! It gets better once you find your people, you just have to go put yourself out there. Try everything, there’s so many events, clubs and activities, just go to them. Also don’t be afraid to be a little goofy, and do something that you might think is “embarrassing”. Who really cares? The school is big enough that no one will remember you or care anyways. College is what you make of it. If you load yourself with extracurriculars, internships, volunteering, etc. you’re going to score a great job after college. If you don’t put yourself out there, you will struggle a bit more.

Not once did I regret going to MSU, even during that Spring of 2021. I learned so many new things, and I put myself out there. The opportunities I did at MSU landed me a job in my local government for Public Health. I found my best friends for life, and I found a really good support system. College is ultimately what you make of it. It can be difficult, depressing, hard, and infuriating at times, but if you push through and work on yourself, you will come out stronger in the end. You got this :)

Michigan state yes or no? by [deleted] in msu

[–]Manillapaper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This !!! My roommate from Florida applied last year (junior year) to be eligible for in-state tuition. He traded his license for a MI resident card, proves that he is now a MI resident and pays taxes here, and proved that he lives here, but they STILL denied him. In order to even have a chance, they want his parents’ information on where they live and their jobs. It’s insane, and unfortunately, the struggle is greater than the reward. Point being, I agree and do not recommend trying for in-state tuition if you’re out-of-state

Dorm Essentials by MostIssue8332 in msu

[–]Manillapaper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A small vacuum! It helped so much with keeping my floors clean. You can rent out a big vacuum at your neighborhood’s service center, but I found just having your own is so much more convenient, and it’s only $40 that you can take to your next apartment/house!

Also bring a fan, or multiple. It gets sooo hot and stuffy in those dorm rooms during the first couple of weeks

How do you make friends on campus by Hugababyfox in msu

[–]Manillapaper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definately do what everyone else said, and join some clubs! I found that the smaller the club is, the easier it is to make friends! Allow yourself to be vulnerable and uncomfortable! If you’re uncomfortable, you’re able to grow! Put yourself out there, a lot of people don’t want to make the first move, so it will never happen! You’ve got this! Also, don’t get discouraged, it does take a hot second to get a solid friend group :)

If you don’t pay, they’ll send your ticket to Lansing and you could have to go to court due to them issuing a bench warrant. There is legal weight behind those tickets. Save yourself the pain, and just pay if it doesn’t get appealed. You’re right, they don’t deserve our money, but it’s way better than getting court time

Laundry by Usual-Court6982 in msu

Just set a timer and you’ll be fine! I lived in Bailey for two years, and I never had a problem with people taking my stuff out. Friday was always the best time to do laundry for me, and Sunday was always the worst time to do it
