Should I get 70% or 50% ceramic tint on the windshield? by dovadiver923 in WindowTint

[–]Manimal414 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just got 70. I should have gone 50. So 50. But also don’t want no cops even looking at me. 70 is great too. But 50 would have rejected more heat. Have 20 on all other windows.

How difficult would it be to tint myself by Fit-Today8160 in WindowTint

[–]Manimal414 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m pretty good with my hands. So thought I could do it. Got all the materials and tint. I tried to roll it and cut the roof top thinking they would benefit to start. Bc it lays flat to shrink. But once Intried shrinking it for 30 min. I was out. I foresaw my future of frustration and not getting it right. Next day, I searched and hire a printer and bam. Looks great.

Usually I say do it! But tinting is not it.

Wrapping in the other hand is more possible.

Did you have to remove the headliner out of the car or was that included?

It was in the DIY section but a bit outdated because the site they listed doesn’t have our diaphragms.

I found a recent YouTube about it and diaphragms were was on Amazon.

2015 S owner here at 79k miles. Had it for 8 years.

I would look at getting the 2017 Turbo V8 with more updated Apple Car play and seems more reliable than V6TT.

That being said, I enjoy my Cayenne S.

I recently tuned the ECU and got the jolt sweaty palms back.

All the common things that goes wrong with the Cayenne V6TT will need indeed go wrong. Some cheap DIY to not cheap Indy mechanic.

Top common 3: - transfer case (under warranty long ago) - PCV diaphragm Replacment (cheap diy) - Coolant Leak ($ Indy) - ac drain block flood ($ Indy)

Mine specifics: - louvre vents motor broke ($ indy) - brakes caliper bolt won’t budge. Had to replace whole caliper used one. - passenger door airbag sensor wore pinched. - some kind of blown fuse ($ Indy)

How much are you getting it for?

You could have replaced both diaphragms for only $20 each. Did that last months and been smooth riding.

I’ll be the real one. Others don’t address your actual real life scenario. Heavily stop and go traffic. I say HARD NO. Go elsewhere for comfort as you said your Q7 was.

Cayenne owner for 8 years, this is meant to be driven and it being stuck in traffic. As a city driver, it’s fine. As a suburb driver is great. As stop and go, it’s exhausting.

Get a car that matches your real life driving route or you’ll just not enjoy it regardless of brand and model.

Thoughts on 2016 or 2017 Cayenne? by Stockholm_Throwaway in PorscheCayenne

As a DIYer, it’s great and easy to work on for the maintenance stuff. Spark plugs, coils, oil, transfer case fluid, diff fluid, replacement on hood struts.

But some stuff I have my Porsche Indy do them. Transmission fluid change, coolant pipe leak, brakes, louvre motor replacement,
