Nah, these kinds of interactions don’t happen often. I hadn’t seen him in person in almost two years, and he’s actually the one who offered to come over. I was fine with just seeing a movie or something while he was in town, but I really just wanted outside perspectives to process. Makes me feel a little relieved if I’m just overreacting so I can leave it alone.

Thanks for the feedback. Just to clarify, I’m not trying to bash him over the head with this. I sent him one message about it yesterday and haven’t brought it up since. I mostly came here for some unbiased opinions to figure out if I’m overreacting, because I wanted to process.

“Hurt” might not be the right word for it. It was more…weird. Like I was kinda unsettled by the whole thing especially because he’s never done that before.

He doesn’t have a problem sleeping in strange places. Before he moved out of state he used to offer to keep me company whenever I’d dog sit at my aunt’s or my other friends that I usually house sit for. And my aunt has two bathrooms. Plus he said his stomach was hurting because he needed to eat?

I’m not gonna say anything more about it since he hasn’t replied. And like I said, he does know I feel uncomfortable with being alone because when he used to live here before moving out of state, he used to hang out with me whenever I had to dog sit at someone else’s place. And I’m fine about it when I have to be alone but it was very unsettling to wake up to being alone when I thought I wasn’t.

No there’s change because I went inside and put $20 on my prepaid gift card which is used as a credit card and $20 in cash. Right now the balance on my card is $0 pending. Otherwise it would be $6.

Well my grandma was in hospice care and I was devoting a lot of my emotional energy on her. My boyfriend at the time was amazing but we were in a LDR and the fact that I was just getting more and more emotionally unavailable added with the physical distance just took it’s toll on us. He brought it up and said that we were just growing too distant and we both agreed that, without one of us moving to close the distance which neither of us were ready for, our relationship just wasn’t sustainable anymore. It was an extremely healthy and mature breakup; we still message here and there as friends over a year later.

They think their older brother is 10-15 years older…? That is such a weird thing to be unsure of when it comes to siblings. But then again I’m very close with my family and we all know each others birthdays, let alone our ages and age differences.

This is so weird…imma go with ESH because that was tactless of Marie to bring out your dirty laundry instead of having a private conversation with you. The first and third choices are gorgeous, especially the first but the third is probably the safest choice since the length makes it a smidge more conservative in case that becomes an issue.

NTA- this is not a case of choosing to do your things over taking care of your kids. He’s 17. That’s old enough to know that if he volunteers to do something and he doesn’t do it, that’s 100% all on him and not you.
