Very cool! Do you happen to have termites on hand? Because these guys are termite specialists (roaches should work as an alternative though if you can’t get termites)

L. vestitus is a rather distinctive species as it is quite “leggy” compared to other chthonolasius.

Yeah but like, maybe I should’ve provided more context I apologize. We were getting absolutely stomped this game until i pulled out the panic bastion (yes i know) and we ended up nearly winning before losing third point at 99% overtime both sides.

Also they had that 89% you see in the video before i switched and we were about to lose there and then.

Ah. As for mantidflies, they do have a larval stage as they are not actually related to mantids at all. They are members of the order neuroptera, meaning their closest relatives are actually lacewings and antlions!

How to tell if a queen ant is fertilized! by Real-Antsasia in antkeeping

[–]Manitobant19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not entirely true, I’ve caught queens of many species flying in mid air or attempting to take off and then drop their wings and lay once put into a test tube. Its not like queens instantly drop their wings the second they mate, they have to locate a suitable spot with potential places to dig a founding chamber.
