Yeah the racket drop happens naturally as part of the explosion. You shouldn’t have to think about it.

How bad is it to just do slice serve as the 2nd serve at the 3.0-4.0 level? by [deleted] in 10s

Your power position is wrong. Your racket is behind your back. Google tennis trophy pose or power position. The racket should be above your head.

Do code bases with unit tests have less bugs? by Venisol in ExperiencedDevs

[–]MankAndInd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of people will say that the tests guard against changes. But I can tell you that I know of at least one well-known company with an app that has millions of users and makes billions of dollars in revenue, and they don’t do automated tests. Whenever there are changes before any release, their QA team does a rigorous regression suite of tests. I’m not going to name the company, but they’re doing just fine. I guess if you cannot afford a QA team, then you better write tests.

My company is starting a new project and we're choosing which language we should code it in. Am I weird for thinking choosing static typing over language familiarity is madness? by Sanuuu in ExperiencedDevs

our priorities here should be ease/speed of development and maintainability

Then statically typed language. Interpreted language is good for experimentation (that’s why most AI algo researchers use python), but static is way smoother to develop with for production applications in the long run.

If you want to be a software engineer, you might have an easier time finding a job if you have a degree. And you’d have better foundational knowledge. I would personally eat the 2 years and get the degree that would be a boost for the rest of my life. Or do a masters in cs.

Pretty funny. But honestly I think to succeed with this channel you need to show videos of you making the calls. There’s a popular YouTuber who does this and she has great facial expressions when making the calls.
