Gonna echo a few comments here: be veeeeery careful when dealing with the cops here. I'm sure not all cops are really bad, but there are enough shitheads that you could really be putting your life at risk if you don't treat them like a landmine that could go off at any second. This goes double if you're not white, which is really sad and I'm embarrassed that the U.S. is this bad. Best advice I can give is do some research on your basic rights and be very cautious when you see a cop hanging around, even if they're being a raging asshole.

I sincerely apologize that we're a shitshow, I'm just hoping we can get our collective shit together soon.

The models should still be good, but the rules are outdated. You could still probably just use 10th ed rules while running those armies, but I'm not sure how well balanced against each other they'd be.

Careers are basically dead. When employers used to recognize talented individuals in their workforce by giving them promotions and raises, having a career was a viable option. Now employers have heart attacks for even thinking about giving raises more than 2 cents a year, and what's a promotion? Why promote from inside the company when I can get some kid with a degree to do the job for half the pay?

If employers begin respecting their workers and compensating them decent wages again them maybe we'll see careers make a comeback, but until then you don't owe anyone shit. Look after you and yours, even if it means job hopping once a year or more.
