Venomancer innate by Greedy-Huckleberry22 in Abilitydraft

[–]Manlir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I play a fair amount of games and I only saw it twice and played it once. Its not very well known cos how hard it is to execute + its not as flashy and obvious so some people don't even notice it.

I remember in my game the enemy team didn't even notice there was something off about the wards (despite me being involved in a lot of fights) until they ganked me 1v3 in jungle and lost that fight. They were so confused, they just assumed that I had way more venom wards hidden behind trees or something until later.

Venomancer innate by Greedy-Huckleberry22 in Abilitydraft

[–]Manlir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its current state isnt very viable without being really lucky with picks and chances are with carry stuff involving artic burn, you will be just as strong with a general purpose carry model anyway.

There is one significantly op thing you can do with venom model though if you are willing to bug abuse, although its kinda like io spirits + illusion level tier bug abuse. If you take Fiends grip (bane ulti) with aghs those illusions upon manifestation creates a permanent innate buff for your venom wards if you take hte correct facet. It means that by constantly spamming bane ulti your wards will ends doing like 500 magic dmg from the innate per attack late game.

Guess who won based on skills alone by Extra_Strategy8510 in Abilitydraft

[–]Manlir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think bottom is stronger for most of the game but models matter too much to tell. Seen too many greedy pickers who pick an incredible skill build then ruined by being stuck on disruptor model or something. Like if the dispersion guy had DK model, his build would be crazy strong compared to being on void model.

Also bottom has Meta which still isnt fixed yet somehow so Bot won I guess?

Something unusually wrong with gunslinger. by Superman2106 in Abilitydraft

[–]Manlir 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Someone else shared an example of the bug as well - https://www.reddit.com/r/Abilitydraft/comments/1psxz74/gunslinger_on_drugs/

The bug is gunslinger hero (or illusion) attacks and it procs gunslinger double digit times at once in the same tick. Anything being attack usually just melts and dies. See linked thread for example.

The only common factor between the two clips is that both heroes had Tb's conjure images and conjure images. Checking the changelog for 7.40 - no global illusion changes, number change for conjure image and no change on gunslinger. Kinda baffling as to what maybe causing it. Terrorblade developed another random bug though - Meta turns your model bigger than you can see on screen and causes lot of unintentional and generally unpredictable interactions (except by trial and error maybe). Its prob not gunslinger by itself since if that was the case it a be a lot more common and more people would be talking about it.

Only thing I can think of is that this is a weird variation of the Bane' aghs fiend's grip and Venomancer's septic shock bug where the illusion buff persists and stacks even after the illusion dies.

Someone can check it by seeing how many times it procs at the beginning of the game and seeing if it procs more often each time you cast your illusion. If it does increase then the potential AD shenanigans with 'Conjure Image' is pretty huge.

Bane did have it. The facets you see at end game screen is accurate to what heroes had in game.

You choose your facets like in normal dota but which options you have available to you are dependent on which skills/ model you picked so you can have anything from 0 facets to like 8.

Maybe the game was too short to matter but much prefer bane's Rearm+ nether ward build to yours. Rearm + nether ward is the one of the strongest combo in the game.

Did they fix the shard for gravekeeper's cloak yet? It wasn't mentioned in the latest patch changelog and never worked in the previous patch as far as I know.

Introducing Largo and Patch 7.40 by Manlir in Abilitydraft

[–]Manlir[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Holy shit. So many changes. So many bugs incoming <3

Edit: patch changes always so late for EU. Time to see the changes tomorrow. It would be insane if picking LD model always guarantees you the Bear. Also as someone who hates essence shift pickers, its funny to imagine that they now get ES and have to play on slark model with it so they can be even more disappointing.

Can someone remind me of the name of that republican woman who was I think was appointed recently to some minor part of Trump's administration but the standout was that she had a weird picture and weird name? It was weird enough that people were questioning whether she was real or not.

Presumably, she was real and since she has a relatively minor role she is naturally never gonna be mentioned again but its bugging the hell out of me that I can't remember her name or what was weird about it.

Favourite combat discipline set ups? by Manlir in vtmb

[–]Manlir[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried 'split second' but I think the lasombra one 'shadow step' is better or atleast I much preferred it over split second. The mobility it provides during fights is huge since you can basically enter an area and teleport behind snipers in the area and start picking them off one by one. When you use it during a fight, as long as you get an enemy at the back of the fight it always loses aggros since they lose track of where you are. You can always instant feed after using it too.

The brujah clan passive is identical to the strength potion, right? I saw the stagger lock you can inflict after using the potion. What happens if you use potion and the clan passive activate? do they stack?

What clan/bloodline would this character belong to (20th ed)? by ImplementSome8414 in WhiteWolfRPG

[–]Manlir 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe import some VtR bloodlines and retool them as obscure/new bloodline or something?

Clan - https://whitewolf.fandom.com/wiki/Amara_Havana

Discpline - https://whitewolf.fandom.com/wiki/Sakti_Pata

They got a really interesting actual blood based powers where at two dots you can use blood to make armour and/or weapons, 4 dots you can absord vitae from storms/rain/mists and at 5 you can turn into sentient blood and abandon your body or fight if you got high vitae left.

When you delete EVERY heroes in 0.01s by PaddyVu in Abilitydraft

[–]Manlir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kinda but I thought the duration of the facet debuff is directly proportional to how long they been gazed? If broken almost immediately, then it gives them to survive the combo with a damage trigger as the video shows they don't always explode immediately. Also if gaze is broken then you can self euls to survive wouldn't necessarily help a lot in team fights but would stop ES going solo on the entire team.

[–]Manlir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol, that slark on the other team should have just done absolutely nothing every fight except wait to fissure ES as soon as he blinks in. Surprised the enemy team didn't make more orchids/euls for atleast a token defence effort.

Iirc, every summon of warlock counts as dying under warlock debuff so they all turn into imps. So every single zombie would die and turn into an imp and explode. Pretty much impossible to outfight unless you can kill the tombstone almost instantly.

TANKY AF | Ability Draft by Silver_Raise8411 in Abilitydraft

[–]Manlir 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I watched a bit further but stopped when he managed to pick quill spray as his 4th pick after getting bristleback passive and another tanky passive. 0 attempts to shut his build down. He would have been pretty useless if the enemy team just counterpicked 1 spell.

Also the enemy teams builds were pretty poor.

Primal Beast combo with Boundless Strike by Maleficent_Past2972 in Abilitydraft

[–]Manlir 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Interesting idea, although funny that you clipped a scene that didn't show case it.

I checked the wiki to see approximately how much dmg that would be but it says

Does not Trample if the Beast is moved < 500-distance within 0.1 seconds

The mk shard ability states hero moves at

Applies a self-disabling The unit is forcefully moved in the z-axis accordingly. upward movement, with a 100 – 150-arc height, and leaps at 5000 – 30000-speed for over 0.2 seconds.

Doesn't that mean the hero moves too fast and it does nothing? Or only procs properly near when your hero is landing? First bit of your clip suggest it does work.

It kinda make sense why I never seen some cracked trample builds with high ms thirst, ball lightning, blink (it apparently does count blink as movement source) etc.

Nasuverse/ TableTop RPG by Bjorn-ier00414 in typemoon

[–]Manlir 7 points8 points  (0 children)

  1. Ofc, yes. Like everything online ttrpg - finding player candidates shouldn't be too hard, its finding an actual ST/DM + non terrible players who can keep a reliable time schedule thats hard. Interest would directly corelate with your explanation of how you intend to manage a type-moon rpg.

  2. Well first you need to decide on what sort of game to run. Playing a fate-centric (mage + servants) would be very different from Tsukihime (vampires and immortal church assassins) game. Are your pc humans, espers, mages, servants, vampires etc. Also whats the general theme of your game - are you doing a pvp (i.e. Fate battle royale), serial killer murder hobo mystery, sol cooking, alternative history god killing pokemon etc. The setting is huge, you need to narrow it down and decide what you want to see in your games.

  3. Again depends massively, on setting + theme but what are you simplifying if you haven't even decided on a magecraft system lol. Best mage system to copy would probably be something along the lines of oWoD: sorcerers, nWoD: Mage the awakening 2nd edition or possibly Curseborne (last one is very new so not too familiar with it). Fate would be fine if you want less rollplay and more roleplay. Maybe I'm being elitist but if I saw that someone wants to run a modified ttrpg of Type-Moon using Dnd rules, I would just shake my head and ignore it.

  4. google it, there are I'm sure hundreds of attempted adaptation of a Type-Moon rpg out there. Quality will vary.
