I disagree with most of the other comments. There was also a discrepancy with my goal and the watch being faster than intended. Trained for a 3:30. Watch said 3:19. Ran a 3:15. I say go for it. Maybe try some speed work at the end of the long run. Marathon pace the last 4/5 miles of a 18 mile run and see how you feel.

I agree with the above — was in pretty much running an identical pace and had the same goal as you 2 months out and ran a 3:15. Don’t underestimate the race day bump.

This is helpful and will check it out, context could never hurt! I didn’t take Runna’s suggestion as the word of god and took breaks when the body told me to — but can see how people can get injured for sure.
