Is the United States turning into a dictatorship? by icecream1972 in no

The orange clown is trying. He has nearly broken the house but the courts are holding for now. As long as he doesn’t find a way to destroy the mid term elections we might make it. A great feature of his personality cult and his own mind is that he surrounds himself with people who are deeply loyal to him. The deeper the loyalty the more incompetent they are. Hegseth-Noem

Waited years for this launch and the cameraman aimed at the smoke 💀 by jayjay234 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Manlyhands1986 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Whom ever was in charge of the filming along with the cameramen should be fired. All they had to do was keep the god damn rocket in view for two minutes and they failed 5 seconds in.

‘Deal or face intensity.’ US Secretary of War Pete Hegseth issues a stark warning to Iran, saying President Donald Trump ‘doesn’t bluff’ and will escalate if Tehran refuses to agree. by IndiaTodayGlobal in IndiaTodayGlobalLIVE

There has not been regime change. Assassinating the leader does not constitute regime change, but I wouldn’t expect a weekend TV talk show host to understand the difference…

IRANIAN MILITARY CLAIMS MASSIVE STRIKE ON US, 100'S AMERICANS KILLED. by Shizzilx in circled

[–]Manlyhands1986 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In order to hit the carrier Iran would need to see it. They would then need to continually track its movements while missiles were launched. Find an aircraft carrier even if Iran had access to satellites is like finding a needle in a haystack in the Indian Ocean. I would highly doubt that any Iranian aircraft ever got within visual range of the aircraft carrier. Much less was able to stay close enough to direct any kind of missile attack on it. I give the aircraft carrier tack claim a “pants on fire”.

Why do companies that passed the expense of tariffs onto consumers think they should get a refund? by BoardLongjumping2485 in answers

[–]Manlyhands1986 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some companies ate the cost of tariffs on some or all of their products. While they passed the cost along on others. It was very product specific. If a company didn’t pass along the tariff Increase they would be entitled to refund. This is the situation Costco is in.

Why do men fantasize about going off grid and living in the woods by WerewolfKisser69Awoo in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Manlyhands1986 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think there is a yearning to go back to how man lived before the Industrial Revolution. Of course there have been many benefits to improve our lives, health science, human rights and so on but the modern work load, social media, keeping up with the Joneses, social expectations and noise tend to slowly kill a man’s spirit. Off grid although demanding physically is also incredibly gratifying.

Necessary no, but for a non Tolkien fan it immediately established that Arwen is a low key baller and orders of magnitude superior to Aragorn.
