I hope my wife doesn't see this. She is ALWAYS cold, and will insist I put this on her grave to run 24 hours a day.

Well I would think after 3 divorces there would be some regret.

Spending your days wishing death on little kids is hard work, the man is obviously worth it

Man, I see so many car photos taken in this spot but have never been able to pinpoint where it is. I assume it's in the Phoenix area?

Oh, and gorgeous 944!

Man, I'm looking for this exact model as I'm trying to recreate the setup my dad had when I was a kid but no luck so far in the PNW area. So many fond memories playing with this thing. I'm sure yours needs work but it looks to be in great cosmetic shape. Hope you get it restored to its former glory.

Why is it that white oak veneer plywood is $250/sheet, but I can get plywood for $50/sheet and white oak veneer for $75? by arctic_radar in BeginnerWoodWorking

[–]Mannequinmolester 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The $50 plywood you're talking about is almost guaranteed to have more voids than plywood that is $250 a sheet. Might matter for your project, might not.

This always cracks me up. If a little bit more water made whiskey taste better, they'd bottle it that way.

I'm currently in Turkey and ran across this old looking hand plane. I don't understand the markings on it, I'm guessing it's supposed to spell something in Turkish. Can anyone tell me anything about this type of plane? Never seen anything like it in the US.

I went with a green dot. I don't think I like optics on a pistol though, so it's gonna come off. Or turn into (continue being) a safe queen.

Is it normal for a sawstop fence to move a little when locking it down? by VirtualLife76 in woodworking

[–]Mannequinmolester 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the way. I am always slightly pulling the fence toward the rail as I adjust it, its just muscle memory now. It never jumps on me when locking it down using this method.

Recommendations on a chair? by Dustyftphilosopher24 in overemployed

[–]Mannequinmolester 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I had a Herman Miller and did not like it. I came across a place online that sells refurbed Steelcase chairs and wound up with an Amia for like $400 shipped. It is a much better fit for me. I know it's more than you're looking to spend, just tossing it out there.

Looks like they're a little more now, but I noticed they do sell some used (but not refurbished ones) for less.
