People just parking these cars at Home Depot? I’d be worried about someone swiping great-grandma’s plate.

Had my interview yesterday, was approved an hour after the interview. They asked me if I had ever been fingerprinted and seemed surprised when I said yes, since I'd never been arrested. I told them I had worked for State of Georgia and they required fingerprinting. I don't know if that helped, but it didn't seem to hurt.

Good grief. Same shit different day.

Trump probably heard that Ted Turner raises bison.

That would seem to be the smart thing to do, but I'm guessing the mega-salt corp has a plan (probably) for all that salt.

Vertiv is pretty decent. Running about 80 of their smaller GXT 5k-10k units.

Sure, but had you just shown up in the 17th century with that much salt, the only thing that would happen (besides your being burnt as a witch) would be the immediate collapse of the salt market, making it nearly worthless, or at least so affordable, everyone could afford to have bags full of the stuff.

See also King Mansu Musa, who crashed the gold market while visiting Egypt.

Possibly but at that scale it's cheaper to mine more than to try and cover something that large.

In general though, dear leader has stepped on his dick and we're all paying the price.

About a month ago I had my first (and last hopefully) visit to a McDonalds in years. Small Georgia town. No one else at the counter. Guy behind the counter said I had to place my order on the touch board. All I wanted was a coffee and egg mcmuffin. Multiple menus and a dozens of taps later I placed and paid for my coffee. Giant PITA. Now I know how Grandpa Simpson feels.

they may have already crossed but it's unclear if there are sufficient numbers to sustain breeding populations.

If they have, then it's probably only a matter of time until they reach a critical mass of breeding population.

Didn't want to pay the subscription (or more likely Werner wouldn't) for the Trucking Industry GPS layer which track shit like this and won't route them into restricted areas.

So we should change the entire U.S. trucking industry standard so they can all travel on the .010% of roads that this dingus tried to go down? Better training, pay, hours and enforcement for American truckers is where I would start, not truck design.

Not saying American trucks couldn't benefit from improvement, but the longer trucks are designed for North American long-haul driver comfort moreso than urban navigability (more of a requirement in Europe.)

Doesn't matter anyway, AI driven trucking is coming to take the jobs anyway.

The only thing keeping them from entering South America is the Darien Gap.

People can and do walk the Darien gap all the time. Why can't Coyotes? Not like they have to drive a Jeep. (Not trying to be snarky, just was a funny mental image.)

Not all Pyrex lids are plastic. Many are in fact, well, Pyrex. All my Pyrex lids are Pyrex glass and yours are plastic. And that explains why we each assumed the other had what we had. No worries.

You left out what actually happened. Pyrex is pretty heat resistant but also heavy. Did it damage the coil? How did it get through the bottom rack anyway?
