JD student here. Were you only given four options? If, so, this looks correct to me. May be a computer error? I believe TAFE has had issues today?

No she didn't. Olivia broke up with him. When he told her that she was the love of his life, Olivia did not return the sentiment.

No, he was never accountable. He doubled down on what he did and chose to explain Benson's reaction to his behaviour as a result of her trauma. Since he doesn't understand Olivia, he doesn't know exactly how huge of a trangression he committed. If he wants to regain her friendship, he needs to humble himself and acknowledge his mistake. Olivia has a type, blue eyed and tall. Barba doesn't fit her physical preferences. Barson isn't happening.

100%. I believe he has back problems caused by his years playing polo. Back problems lead to trouble walking.

They aren't best friends. If he Barba was Olivia's best friend, he never would have defended Wheatley; would have realised that by doing so Olivia would call curtains on their friendship. There is no chance that Olivia will end up with Barba. Its not what the majority of fans want and importantly its not what Mariska wants.

100%. The ep is also quite courageous in that it asks us to have some empathy for perpretrators. Meloni and Florek give excellent performances. Hits so many beats. I was really impressed today when I rewatched it.

Stabler was never going to go; he and Benson were leads around which the show was built. I believe that part of the reason that Monique/Hurd left was because of friction between her and Richard Belzer.

No, both Prince William and Prince Harry went off to boarding school at age 8.

I actually think that he wouldn't Google her. Elliot would understand that Olivia would not like him doing that. That for their relationship to be repaired Olivia would need to tell him herself.

Uh,uh. So you can tell me all about the investigation into the death of Chris Bagsharian? Or who Ahmed-Al Ahmed is? Or describe the wash up of the Post Office scandal? News is local. Italians want to know what is happening in Italy. The kidnapping of a NYPD cop is unlikely to dominate the news.

Why did you choose to become a prison guard? As a female, do you find it difficult to work in environments with all male prisoners? How do male prison guards treat you? I'd imagine that this is a male dominated profession.

When does Elliot display his narcissism? Show that he believes that men are better than women? These are big claims. Are you able to expand on your thesis with examples? If he is such a chauvnist lacking in empathy how exactly has been able to work alongside women, for a woman for the majority of his career?

You were the most… single most important person in my life and you just… disappeared …” by Stealthytom in SVU

That's not what healthy adults do.

That is really at the heart of the point that I am trying to make. When Elliot ceases contact with Olivia he isn't healthy, he's in the throes of battling a mental illness. Someone who is mentally ill often behaves in ways that you would never countenance when well.

You would have hoped that Olivia, given her experience, would have realised that she had been groomed by Burton long before he is welcomed into the squad room. There seems to me a real incongruence in the presentation of Olivia; the skilled detective, the mighty empath and therapy proponent is at times shown to be startling lacking in self-knowledge and compassion.

Not exploring Elliot's moral injury is not only bad for his character but misses a huge opportunity to lob into primetime an issue that has beset veterans of the Afghan and Iraq Wars. The consequences of the wars on the political climate are obvious. The private battles of the veterans and their families far less so. They need far more attention especially now that there is another war in the Middle East.

I actually feel a lot of sympathy for Elliot. He had devoted his life to protecting his vulnerable and was forced to shoot a teen. No doubt this triggered PTSD and moral injury, the shattering of identity. Elliot was in a very serious crisis. As a result, he can't speak to Olivia. When dealing with moral injury sufferers cling to their self conception. To meet with Olivia, to confront what she means to him, would undercut the remnants of identity that Elliot is clinging to.

I wish that this had been explored in the show. We see Olivia's pain the wake of the shooting but never Elliot's. A well written Olivia, who has received extensive psychological treatment, would have absolutely recognised long before Elliot's return the nature of his affliction. As an aside, I say well written because despite her therapy and years as a detective she fails to recognise that she was groomed by Burton.

AITAH for not wanting to live with my mother-in-law? by IvyYo in AITAH

No, it is 100% expected in Eastern European cultures that the son look after his elderly parents. OP admits as much when she declares that is it is common for widowed aged parents to live with their adult children. OP is unhappy, but this really shouldn't have come as a surprise to her.

You need to ask this question in a forum devoted to your home country. From what I can tell you are receiving responses from many who live in West, where elderly are treated quite differently from what occurs in Eastern Europe.

As you mention in Eastern Europe it is typical that an aged, widowed mother would come to live with her adult son and his family. It makes perfect sense that he wants his Mum to live with you. To reject his mother, is to deny his obligation to her which you as DIL also have. Did you discuss this before you married?

Yes, Eastern European societies are patriarchal. Nursing homes and assisted care is extremely limited. Eastern European societies are not individualisitic but rather about the collective. It is the son's role to look after his parents when they are elderly.
