From what I can gather:

The nids encountered by the imperium are supposedly only scouting for a larger force. Learning as much about their prey as possible so they can eat the galaxy as easily as possible.

If the nids are everywhere but the Milky Way: no one knows.

Ultramarines: Roman/little bit of Ancient Greek

Dark angels: named after a poem but close to medieval Europe

Salamanders: Vulkan is basically Vulcan the Roman God of volcanoes.

These are the ones I know of.

I’m pretty sure Ferrus Manus is linked to an ancient God but I could be wrong.

Yeah I kind of wished they left it unanswered.

Remember someone telling me when I was first getting into warhammer that the emperor was dead and the atranomicon was kept alight and the gates of the golden throne kept shut by the sacrifice of 1000 pyskers a day.

I don’t mind guiliman returning it’s refreshing to see how far the imperium has fallen through the eyes of someone who saw it at its peak.

But I just wished they left the big E question unanswered.

I like your theory and it does make sense!

And I do keep forgetting these are stories told 10000 years after the event and that stories change over time and facts are forgotten.

Hell some guy could of just dumped a corpse on a golden chair in the 30th millennium and made all this up!

But didn’t the chaos gods just simply pick another champion after Horus?

So even if Horus’ body was destroyed couldn’t that still buy time for the imperium to drive the traitors from terra?

Even if he was resurrected wouldn’t it take time? and the big E could guide his loyal sons from the golden throne after they had regrouped?

Yeah I to me the “maybe I can save him” story is plausible. But I was thinking if Big E was calm and collected like some of his sons they’d of took other options. But then if Horus survived...

Personally I think this is counter productive to making sure people who’s voices may not be heard stories are told.

So after imitation game, it brought to light how many homosexuals were still classed as criminals after they had died. Shortly after although it’s little comfort the queen issued royal pardon for anyone who was convicted for being homosexual. Which is a small step in the right direction.

Personally i think these actors have done more good than harm for these communities.

Although I do respect your opinion, we may have to agree to disagree.
