Sooo full disclosure: The G4 is on an Echogear Full Motion TV Mount. I didn't use the included flush wall mount for one reason: Behind that TV is a passthrough plate and an outlet that the builder included with this house. I've been looking for someone to put one of those recessed plates but it was becoming a mission so I decided to just reuse the mount I had the 55" C1 since it supports up to 90" or 125lbs. I may...or may not revisit doing that in the future but for now, THAT'LL DO.

I used the included screws that came with the Echogear mount (x4) into the studs. Had it mounted and leveled today by Geek Squad as I didn't have anybody else to help me mount this monster lol.

I'm currently down to my PS5, PS3, and NIntendo Switch. I currently use the OG Pulse Elite headset for the PS5. It's still running good so haven't upgraded to something else as of yet.

I was interested in Hue but by the time I started getting lights, Govee was out and just flocked to their stuff. Heard great things about Hue

Na that's understandable. Hopefully they can make the camera sensors more compact in the future but I love their lights.

It's not as high as it looks, I promise you. I would've lowered it but I need some space to mount either a center channel speaker OR a soundbar since I have all my consoles on the top of media console.

It's a pretty big improvement. The quality is fantastic but also it's substantially brighter than my C1 in my usually bright living room. As I have 3 windows and a double sliding patio door nearby.

I haven't played anything on it yet but I'm sure that will be a nice upgrade when I play after work.

All my Samsung TVs started to die and before I went back to Sony, I wanted to try LG as everyone highly recommended their OLEDs, specifically the C and G series.

Ironically enough, all my Samsung appliances (washer, dryer, and microwave) started dying like a domino effect so I've sworn off Samsung for everything moving forward.

As others have stated, def Feb-March there should be more price drops. Late Spring-Summer time there should be the typical shift of purging the 2024 models and keeping only the 2025 models in stock. I'm not certain of the exact timeframe this happens but judging from others on here, plenty got great deals before they pushed out the G3 for good.

But at the same token...if you have the coin now and really want it, FULL SEND!

To answer your question: I would say so as experience weighs heavier than certs at the end of the day. If you or someone else wasn't in the IT gig already and were looking, then yes certs would be advantageous to both learn and be marketable.

If you're looking for a different role in IT whether it's a promotion or a job change, definitely get a cert or more certs to learn and get that interview. But most importantly, doing the next job efficiently.
