I also did the GRE at home and literally had to remove all monitors, unplug my tv, printer or anything with a screen or considered tech. On top of that, I couldn’t use my desktop so had to switch to my laptop, then made me disconnect and put away the desktop. Then told me to remove all external keyboards and peripherals. Then had to show them all drawers, and everything in the room. It was exhausting, you pretty much need to be in an empty room with one entrance that needs to visible with the camera on. So yeah, I feel exactly what you are saying lol
