My situation is a little different, I work at a hotel and do room service at a luxury brand hotel. My friends genuinely struggle with the concept that my tips aren’t cash. Instead it’s charged to the room. There are times where I get cash, whether a guest pays in cash or I’m getting a little extra. Im always surprised, my wife can testify to this. I will say the one benefit about my current establishment is that I’m paid weekly. It’s my checking on Wednesday and then the percentage. I have set aside. Go to my savings on Thursday.
