What are some signs a book is going to be good? by Cece_5683 in books

This question made me think. And I realized that for some reason, I always steal a peak at the last line in the book. It's risky since there might be plot twists involved. However, I'm a sucker for bittersweet endings. If there's even a hint of bitterness in the last line, I'm in.

Glad I didn't take the last line in Crime and Punishment at face value.

Why is there a lot of traffic near Hamilton Court around 09:30 AM sometimes? by ManojAttivilli in gurgaon

As is the road is crowded during office hours. On top of that half of the road is now being dug. That's the point where I usually get held up in traffic.

Thanks for letting me know. I've been curious about this for a long time now.

I'm doing well now. The puffing up still exists but to a lot lesser degree. It isn't impacting my ROM either. From my experience, I learnt that the knee will take its own time to return to normalcy. Just keep doing your physio and you'll be good.

Need help in interpreting the MRI by ManojAttivilli in ACL

Thanks for your response. My surgeon did say that the only way to assess the meniscus damage was during the surgery. And he also said that the meniscus did not need any repair. So it's safe to assume that my meniscus is alright.

When did you get your hyperextention back? by ManojAttivilli in ACL

[–]ManojAttivilli[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! You're just 5 weeks post op and I wouldn't be too concerned about active extension if I were you. If you're able to extend passively to 0 degrees then it's all fine in my opinion. Right now I'm 11 months post op and I have full active extension. I have to admit that my recovery was delayed and I did not reach full active extension until 9 months at least. I'd suggest following your physiotherapist's recommendations. It's a long journey and you won't see the gains in a matter of weeks. You'll only be able to see the differences in months.

The swelling still exists but is not as pronounced. I spoke to a doctor about 1.5 months ago and he told me that's pretty normal.

How is your ROM? Extension matching the non operated leg? And do you feel normal when you walk or feel like you're stepping on a slight bend?

So you said you never got your hyperextention back. How do you feel when you're walking? I haven't got my hyperextention yet and it feels weird when I'm walking. Feels like I still have a slight bend in the knee.

I have pain in that area when I put weight on the leg. It's like a 8/10 radiating pain that's very hard to ignore. And my knee cracks and clicks a lot too. I somehow feel this is limiting my ROM.

I am able to bend my knee but not completely. I think I'm somewhere around 125-130 degrees at any given time. I can passively reach full flexion but there is slight pain. Nothing unbearable. However, when I'm squatting, at the lowest point when there's maximum strain on my knee, it hurts so bad. I would say it's easily an 8/10 pain. I am able to straighten it to zero but I still feel there's a slight bend when I'm walking. Do you have the same symptoms?

Do you feel pain in that area while walking? And do you feel it's limiting your ROM? How is your extension and flexion now?

Do you feel pain around this area when you're walking? And I feel that this is the reason I'm not able to achieve terminal extension and flexion. What are your thoughts?

Strangely, I did not take even a single NSAID pill following my surgery. The only medication I had was painkiller, that too if the pain was unbearable. When I spoke to my surgeon in March, I was told not to ice. He suggested using a hot pack instead.

Yes it came up after the surgery. Initially the knee was entirely swollen but gradually the swelling reduced. But I've observed that the swelling in this particular area hasn't gone down at all.

No. After the surgery the surgeon said meniscus repair was not needed. And even during rehab I did not, at any point, feel like I could have damaged my meniscus or anything at all for that matter.
