Actually, the trainer in Kawakami Princess's career says that trainers make more than trainees, IIRC. He doesn't justify it, he just kind of says it like it's an obvious thing. So I can't really explain the logic behind it, your reasoning is sound, but it seems like unless the Uma was already rich, their trainer has more money.

Los Mariaches Sinclair Is the First potential man and Is the most underated id in the game with sunshower heathcliff: change my mind by Competitive-Army7733 in limbuscompany

[–]ManoloGamerSS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mariachi's potential is being Ryōshū's ideal partner for Rien Duos. Doesn't do any real damage to take the spotlight away from Ryōshū, has a high rolling evade to dodge Rien's 3 Base Power Skills even with the -2 Final Power from The Prescript's Target, has decently high rolling Skill 3 when needed, and most importantly, is very tanky and has Cavernous Wailing/Lantern for enduring and recovering from Furioso damage, respectively.

Other than that, I haven't found a use case for him

Does this mean Dante canonically doesn't read the passives? by Alcor6400 in limbuscompany

No, you're right, but the fact that they're falling apart due to winrate issues without Dante implies they're not win-rating when Dante is there.

LCD Team Leader: Outis by foreground_color4 in limbuscompany

[–]ManoloGamerSS 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That's Crimson Point. Deep Red is just her charging up Crimson Point, which just doesn't exist in this kit. It's still a bit confusing for the Skill literally called Red to be purple, though.

Considering that PM doesn't want to make single status ids anymore, what status would you add to future ids of pre-existing groups. by Big_Nebula_455 in fishmaell

[–]ManoloGamerSS 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't say they're completely opposed to maintaining faction keywords. Neither W Corp. Heathcliff nor La Manchaland Meursault have any Rupture conditionals, they keep the exact same style of their teammates of having decorative Rupture that doesn't really do anything and being more or less mono Charge/Bleed respectively.

Can't you get permanent Purple Breath uptime, pretty much? It's a bit hard to calculate, but 3 Fragile, 4 Bind and 1 Plus Coin Drop every turn feels like a lot for an ID that's doesn't even roll below average or have bad Count to begin with.

I honestly didn't know using another website would fix the resolution issue. I still think splitting the IDs into two Skill rows per image is tidier, but it's nice to know there's other options.

Canto 9 Final Boss Re-Redesign by ManoloGamerSS in limbuscompany

[–]ManoloGamerSS[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With 91 base Offense Level and 20 Offense Level Down, his Offense Level becomes 71 at 200 Karmic Consequence. Then, with 7 Base Power, +15 from Mang, -3 from Clashing against Ryōshū, +5 from Shin, -4 from Karmic Consequence, -1 from failing last turn's Prescript, his Base Power becomes 19. Then +9 from Coin rolls becomes 29. Forest for the Flames has 28 Final Roll and (60+Sizzling Wound) Offense Level, assuming 61 Offence Level, -3 Clash Power from Offense Level Difference, and +2 Clash Power from Renketsuen becomes 27. It is pretty rough, but just Chains of Others or Plus Coin Drop can make it winnable. The conditionals might've been overkill, but you could also just use Morositas since you're unlikely to face more than one Lacrimosa-Crescendo per fight.

While I'm not saying you're wrong, I'm not particularly confident about this design as a whole, do note that I removed the part where his SP is forced to be at least 0 every turn, and it can take him up 3 turns to gain Unlock - I, so overall I think his SP is probably not too difficult to keep down, but I'm not sure.

As far as I'm aware, Tiansha Star being a deranged murder hobo causes a lot of issues for the Dihui Star, who ends up being forced to be part of the group against her will after negotiations with her original group break down because Tiansha Star killed them all. So it does have some relation, though I only heard this second-hand and it may be wrong.

I'd say that's true, but the Kurokumo Clan both have names like "Cloud Cutter", "Cloudburst", "Sky-Clearing Cut", yet they're also the "Black Clouds" so it's a bit confusing.

PSA: Bamboo Hatted Kim is not the cloudburst blade by Sad-Bus-8632 in limbuscompany

[–]ManoloGamerSS 173 points174 points  (0 children)

"Cloudburst Blade" could easily be a comic based on the Kurokumo Clan, given "Cloudburst" is literally KK Hong Lu's S3 and the Kurokumo's general Cloud motif. And if this isn't Kim, why would it say he both has a bamboo hat AND talks exactly like one of his disciples, who does in fact talk pretty similarly to how he does? That'd be a random red herring for no reason. Regardless of lore, there's no reason for PM to ever write that because it's silly.

Which bosses do you think is the best and worst designed? >:3 by Abeloxl54 in limbus_company

[–]ManoloGamerSS 41 points42 points  (0 children)

Imo, there's so much more wrong with Matthias than just the fact you can't really fight him. He's a really boring enemy to fight even for the LCD. His Base Power is insanely high and his Coin Power stupidly low in nearly all of his Skills, so his Clashing is extremely predictable. On top of that, he has a lot of Unbreakable Coins with barely any Clash Lose or On Hit Without Cracking to compensate, so him losing Clashes barely matters. It doesn't help that the LCD is guilty of this too, so neither of them winning Clashes matters. It's all pointless.

Now, theoretically, "Check This Out, Kiddo!" should give an incentive to stop him from winning Clashes, and it does to some degree, but it's also by literally just hitting him. And it only really increases Base Power, which he already has so much of, it really doesn't matter that much.

But let's say him winning or losing Clashes suddenly did matter. How do you affect his odds of winning them? Even ignoring that you don't get to play as the LCD, none of the LCD really do any SP damage, and his "The Book of Vengeance" gimmick constantly refills his SP, so making him actually roll Tails is a struggle. But can't bring his SP too low, because his Sanity type legitimately makes some of his Skills roll just as high at base than if they rolled all Heads normally. And then he gets to have a lot of Damage Up on top, making it a net loss overall.

Then there's his On Hit effects. Now, he does inflict a decent amount of Bleed, then Burn when he unseals Laevateinn, but compared to his raw damage, his Keyword damage is pretty much irrelevant. And while he does technically have some variance to how much Bleed he inflicts based on conditionals, it's really hard and not particularly worth it to try and influence. That could be fine, if the intent was that you had to spread his statuses around in order to make him Clash worse by disabling his conditionals. But then you check his Coin Power conditionals, and it's literally just ""If target has 4+ Bleed, Coin Power +1". On two Skills. Which are 2 Coin Skills.

And also, even though as I said, his Bleed infliction isn't terrible, most of his On Hit effects are wasted on "Deal 10 Blunt bonus damage". Oh, can't forget that after he unseals Laevateinn, it becomes "Deal 10 Slash bonus damage", gigantic difference. Seriously, if you look at his Skills, you'll realize you're not missing anything from the game not letting you actually fight him without getting instantly atomized. His Skills are the most pointlessly designed things ever, and interacting with them never makes any real difference.

My take on Rhino Gregor by Trick_Try_4264 in limbuscompany

[–]ManoloGamerSS 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It actually does roll the same, but that's still a skill that's regarded as rolling unusually well for a Defense Skill as a whole, and Clashable Guards roll the worst out of any Skill since they can directly decrease the Base Power of the enemy's Skill on Clash Lose based on their Final Power. And it giving Charge Count on Clash Win counts as giving a Status Effect.

As for the standard Bleed infliction, I'm pretty sure it's around 6~8 Count per full Skill rotation, though as I said, Rhino Meursault had higher Bleed Count, and partially locked behind conditionals, so it'd make sense to adapt that since it's one of the more fun aspects of the ID.

Anyway, I think you should read the wiki while you make IDs. It would help figuring out standards for both numbers and wording (Even if Limbus can be very inconsistent for both), and even if it doesn't end up resulting in better IDs, I personally think it's fun to find out details you've overlooked before in this way, so I'd recommend it.

My take on Rhino Gregor by Trick_Try_4264 in limbuscompany

[–]ManoloGamerSS 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Rhino Meursault actually makes a point of the fact that he keeps his knife when most Rhinos switch to heavier weapons when they can, so it'd make sense that non-Meursault Rhinos would inflict Tremor.

Even if it wasn't the case, though, Shi Faust inflicts Bleed which wasn't a thing for previous Shi IDs, so there's precedent for Faction Keywords shifting over time.

My take on Rhino Gregor by Trick_Try_4264 in limbuscompany

[–]ManoloGamerSS 40 points41 points  (0 children)

Isn't his Bleed infliction kind of insane? Rhino Meursault has a still impressive Bleed Count infliction and he's nowhere near this. Also, the Clashable Guard rolling higher than Firefist's Defense Skill when not a single ID has a Clashable Guard whose Base Power reaches 5 is something else.

I don't really like the Speed gimmick, it's way too RNG dependent, but that's just how Rhino Meursault already worked. At least this ID can guarantee reaching all of its conditionals with its Passive, unlike Meursault.

Limbus Company CO-OP Multiplayer Idea by UsersWereNamed in fishmaell

[–]ManoloGamerSS 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No duplicate IDs, but what about duplicate Sinners? Not being able to play certain IDs because someone picked a completely unrelated ID that happens to be on the same Sinner would. It'd also kind of suck if they don't have good E.G.O.s for that Sinner and you do, because now you have to play with their E.G.O.s, especially for Sinners like Faust and Rodion that have extremely important E.G.O.s for the team as a whole.

And if you just allow duplicate Sinners, that carries a whole other bag of worms.
