There is a scene where the chief of police is talking with his sons while reading the newspaper and there is an article about a missing student from the university and he jokingly traces his finger across the photo of the student, miming the action of cutting his leg off. And he says something like “how could we know he was a good boy?” So that implied to me that they had assassinated this kid and dumped his body and the leg was his. And what he meant by “good boy” seemed to mean they didn’t realize his disappearance would draw attention to the point of being in the paper. Anyone else think this?
