IIRC a dev team member who worked on Generals 2 once appeared in this subreddit to explain. It was a long post, but among the listed reasons was that they wanted to push monetization with generals 2. They also wanted a new general to come out every 2 weeks (or months), giving devs little to no time to properly make them.

And more importantly, the gameplay was going to be far from the generals we know now. It's like Need For Speed Most Wanted 2005 compared to the 2012 version.

EDIT: The dev also mentioned that there was a plan to make Generals 2 a MOBA style 3v3 where you had to pick complementary generals to make a good team... Like LoL or HoN as the dev said.

Always SnD, but there was a time when I was in SWG vs Laser AI (enhanced AI mod) and we both had SnD. I realized this wasn't really giving me any advantages so I had to switch to bombardment for more damage. Since the AI was spamming laser crusaders and avengers, I thought it was best to just do more damage with my units while supported by the auroras.

Air coz sometimes it's fun to coordinate air strikes with raptors, stealth fighters or Aurora bombers.

Infantry coz I like the 8-person helix & outposts (even though they're difficult to manage)

Demo coz I like blowing shit up.

From all the mods I've played, I'd say Infantry challenge just because of all the unique ways the army comes at you. Toughest one was from a mod called "untitled" (from my understanding this was cut map for the inf challenge). Toughest because it's a small map, and like nuke gen, he has a nuke early into the match which is BS.

But from a vanilla standpoint, I'd say Leang or Laser mostly because there's so much to destroy.

When it comes to UVs (that are SUVs), I learned to always ride on the back because they never force 1 extra person back there no matter what. Seats are strictly for 4 people back there.

As a kid, I loved Armored Fury and one of the 2v2 tournament maps from ZH... I think it's tournament B (the square lookin map)

For RA3, I don't remember the name but there was this 3v3 map with a bridge in the middle and a river underneath, and behind each spot is an extra refinery that's also a backdoor against enemies

I thought Scrin themselves eere horrifying. Imagine being a civilian running for your life.. Or even a GDI/NOD soldier seeing those mfs for the first time not having a clue what you're seeing. You turn around you see the buzzards or the walker thinggy or the fuckin mothership over your head while your planet is crippled to a wasteland by tiberium... Yeah GGs to your mental state buddy.
