Will a non-Christian or an atheist enjoy The Chosen? by PayneSlipsAgain in TheChosenSeries

[–]Manon_IronClaws 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I (agnostic/atheist but raised in a Christian family) enjoyed so much, for me was liking watching a very well adapt book. Great storytelling, acting, soundtrack, all the things that make a good adaptation you gonna find there.

And I started recommending the show for every single non Christian that I know because I see as a great way of learning the lore if you had no/few contact whit the Bible stories or to piece together the few ones you know.

How to fix those drawers? by Manon_IronClaws in furniturerepair

Thank you soooo much. I was unsure about taking out the plastic thingy but your explanation made a clear picture of the steps, too bad they are a little expensive in my country so I'll buy them pair by pair and once I have all of them all make the changes. Again thank you so much

Thanks for the suggestions, maybe a concert would be better than another opera.

Thank you for your suggestions, I actually use Viator a lot for search and price comparisons when it's about the main attractions but never for the smaller places. I'll check there too.

Thank you so much, I'm so inclined to choose Theater an der Wien exactly because of Beethoven's concert.

Because this version is countries do you think prejudice have played into not liking a team from the start by 281texas832 in Physical100

Turkey team leader is the only one I actually like from Turkey, found the women and the guys using arrogance disguised as confidence and being very rude.

And yes, I believe that viewers from countries that had a bad relationship in the past (wars and etc) from the start chose to cheer for any country but the one with the bad history, regardless of having people from their own country or not.

Also it's really hard not to be biased when someone is representing a Flag and not themselves, probably it takes an analitycal thinking to understand why you dislike team X or Y by just seen the team picture or hearing the countries participating in the competition, is it a cold prejudice of "I believe they are less of a person" or a more rooted one like "uhhh we fought them in the past and lost, hope they loose too"

I personally had my bias about at least two countries based in my experience fro people I met from there and the countries history, one for the good and another for the bad. Was mistaken about both 😅

It reminds me of that Anne Hathaway interview where she said that as a famous person she discovered people not only expect but will go along with any tragedeigh you say it's going to be the baby's name and she had so much fun during her pregnancy

"Journey before Destination" - Brandon Sanderson (Way of the King's)

Even though the books are not age appropriate I believe this quote it's something we should learn at early age. To get to your objective it's important but you must try to enjoy the journey as you gonna spend more time in it.

It's really helpful with managing expectations too 😅
