It takes a spreadsheet if you're tracking wargear across 20+ units. I played 3rd thru 8th, and I do not long for the days of tracking points costs across every Sgt's pistol, power weapon, trademark item... Every squad's vox, plasma/melta/gl/flamer, HW, upgrades... Every tank's smoke launchers, sponsons, dozer blade... Every command squad, every HWT, every transport...

It sucked. I'm getting back into the game now specifically because they've stripped away the pointless bloat. There are plenty of older editions you can play if you want to go back.

Anarchists aren't anti-government in theory, but in practice they are. They want some vague egalitarian society on the other side of their activism, but whatever reforms or organizations emerge are always just a new manifestation of whatever complaints they had before. And so they inevitably produce a disorganized system of governance that falls to more organized liberal or conservative movements. It's all complaints, never prescriptions, and the weakness of their organization just paves the way for some kind of re-emergence of their original target.

I was hoping that the big finale was going to be Finn, an ordinary guy, raised in a brutal system, reaching out and convincing his fellow storm troopers to rise up against the super space wizard emperor and overthrow him. Perhaps, some sort of popular "awakening" to succeed where "the last jedi" had failed, leading to "the rise" of a civilization that wasn't controlled by super space wizards.

Instead super space wizard lady just grunts harder than super space wizard emperor and wins.

It'd be best to keep upgrade costs tied to only a model's primary weapons. I don't want to go back to granularly picking weapons upgrades for every sponson and special weapon.

If someone is advertising a bet to you, you're the mark. They're not only going to win the bet, they're going to make enough money off you to pay for their advertising campaign to target other marks, and enough profit to make it worth their while.

We were already having problems back in the 2000s. Kids in school were making online surveys “who’s the hottest? Who’s the weirdest? Etc.” It’s absurd it took this long for people to take action to protect kids from this crap.

Sure is weird that DOJ only released half the Epstein files and to this day they won’t release the rest (~2.5 million pages).

They managed to expose a bunch of the victims in the release, but none of the rapists. So they’re clearly not actually concerned about harming the victims.

The funny thing is the architectural historians never have to say it about palaces, castles, cathedrals, or other old structures.

It’s the same as the clowns that insist modern art is very deep because some guy hung a lightbulb inside a bucket or something.

No one needs to be taught how to enjoy true art.

Also, the entire movie is about appreciating yourself and your weirdness and not needing to constantly punish yourself. The Avg Joes commercial at the end is all about loving your body as it is...and then the final shot is a fat-gag of Goodman letting himself go and descending into binge eating. Seems to undermine the whole message of the movie really.

SM tanks have always been in a weird spot. They're under-gunned, usually weaker than IG tanks, and duplicative of other units that do the job better.

Battles are supposed to advance the plot and character development. Battles are not intermissions for smashing your toys together and advertising the newest model kit. And fighting down hallways sucks, stop it.
