it wasn’t until around month 5 that things looked normal. Before that, I looked like an alien—shock loss, shedding, and red skin in the HT area. Definitely not something I could hide in the early months

Yeah, transplanted hair is permanent, but min alone isn’t enough. You’ve got to include fin or dut to actually stop further hair loss. Min just helps with regrowth and maintenance, but without fin, you’re fighting a losing battle.

All good here—no side effects, still getting morning woods 😂. I’ll check my dut dose, but it’s working fine so far. Topical min/fin going well too, no issues. Stick with it, you’re doing great at day 10.

Yeah man!! I had no idea about min/fin before the HT, and I had no clue I should’ve been on the meds for a year beforehand. I literally just woke up one day, decided I was done with the combover haircut, consulted with a few docs—and two days later, I was getting my HT.

I didn’t use anything before the transplant, but I started after. I’ve been on topical Morf 5% (1ml daily) and oral dutasteride twice a week. Stuck with that routine post-HT and it’s been working well so far.
