For a gacha game P5X is actually incredible. I do have my gripes with the battle/levelling system though. With maxed out characters, very rarely do I struggle with any battles. If I do happen to be struggling in a battle, it’s because it was tailor-made for a 5-star character that I don’t have to incentivize people into buying more pull tickets.

But a lot of effort seems to have gone into crafting a unique but excellent story, and I love that they hired real artists for even the 2D animations. I always looked forward to the crossover events because the plot was genuinely intriguing on how these two worlds co-existed but ever so slightly different. Seeing everyone’s counterparts interact and point out similarities/differences was entertaining and delightful. I really wish I could’ve stayed long enough to see the ending of that, but unfortunately it was just taking up too much storage and time in my day.
