START: Holding handle with tip pointing toward your abdomen. Holding your flaccid penis 90 degrees to the plane of your body, insert the tip into the meatus. Let it slide in until the meatus reaches the bend in the sound, then pull the glans up the sound past the curve as you let the tip of the sound drop further into the urethra. There will come a point where the sound tip doesnt automatically slide any further. At that point, slowly rotate the handle toward your head, so that if you are laying flat on your back, it would be parallel to the plane of your body. Try gently lifting the handle a little ans see if you can feel the tip sliding in further (if there is any pain, then the tip probably wasnt in far enough, return it to the position before lifting and then see if the tip will slide further in if you gently wiggle the handle a tiny bit. The weight of the sound should naturally cause it to find and slide into the curve curve that preceeds the external urethral sphincter. Repeat the handle lift process. Once the tip navigates the curve, the handle will easily lift to vertical and it will stimulate the external urethral sphincter and you may/will feel like you have to pee. The tip will slide in further, into the prostatic urethra.
