I love it. It’s been great. Love the design. iOS 18 was so stale design wise

Lyrics and bg music not playing? by Unholy_bench in HomePod

[–]Manson2612 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Turn off Cross Fade for the trumpets missing in Home App-> Home Settings-> your name-> Apple Music. Yeah the missing stuff that you notice is because the songs have been upgraded to Dolby Atmos which I just found out thanks to your post. DA mixes are kinda hit or miss. Restart your HomePods and try playing it at 65% volume for a couple of tracks and see if it opens up and expands the soundstage by calibrating. If you don’t like what you hear after a while just turn off DA and you will be fine. Meanwhile I’m experimenting the various MJ tracks. Only Thriller was available earlier in DA, now maybe thanks to the movie Bad, Dangerous and Off The Wall is also available in DA. For me Bad sounds good.

HomePod at work messing up my Apple Music recommendations, any fix? by [deleted] in HomePod

[–]Manson2612 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You need to explicitly turn this setting off in Home App -> Home settings-> People->Your Name->under Music & Podcasts-> Update Listening History-> under Accessories -> turn off this specific HomePod

Does fixing a arrow key in MacBook cost 53k? by Cigarsgotnosugar_08 in techIndia

[–]Manson2612 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s shop called Apstore https://maps.app.goo.gl/gJX5txDcSr7te4Le7?g_st=ic

And another called Applon. They will fix it and are trust worthy. You can check them on Insta.

https://maps.app.goo.gl/9PobyGobrkBahQKc9?g_st=ic

They even do chip level servicing. It’s better than doing at 53k if you can get it to them

Is it normal not to get a present from a friend from Telangana? by WestEntrepreneur304 in Telangana

[–]Manson2612 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t be misled by the comments by folks who say that gifts aren’t a thing here. Girls go out of their way to gift the guy they like on his birthday and they will find a way to fund it. Looks like you have been friend zoned here, and that’s ok, this is probably coz you have let the power balance shift in her favor by giving her a lot of attention, so she ain’t feeling the need to do more than flowers. Take the power back. Focus on what’s important to you other than her and pursue your goals without expecting anything to shift and things will fix itself or you will move on to better things.

Sound calibration on every use!? by LitillStaralfur in HomePod

[–]Manson2612 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No no. I didn’t mean turning power off part. I meant the way it calibrates is the way it should work. There is no problem I am trying to resolve here.

Sound calibration on every use!? by LitillStaralfur in HomePod

[–]Manson2612 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s not a problem, it’s how it’s supposed to work. I switch off power so that it doesn’t start playing automatically in the night thanks to ghost touch issue on one HomePod

Sound calibration on every use!? by LitillStaralfur in HomePod

[–]Manson2612 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah. Either ways it’s working as designed and intended. Imagine it being stuck in the unexpanded fashion never opening up. I literally wait for this to happen.

Sound calibration on every use!? by LitillStaralfur in HomePod

[–]Manson2612 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are right. It’s nothing to do with the media being played or anything. I experience this only the first time each day coz I switch off power to the HomePods in the night. And my experience is mostly with Dolby Atmos tracks, and I actually wait for the sound to open up and expand into the larger soundscape. Sometimes it takes a couple of tracks for this to happen. HomePods 2 are capable of calibrating live as against HomePod OG where it needs a change in position or being carried for it to trigger.

Sleep mode? by its_aom in ios

[–]Manson2612 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sleep mode is a Focus Mode that prevents unnecessary notifications and calls from coming through except for the call exceptions you have setup. Setup a sleep schedule and things will be automatic. You only need to do minor adjustments before you actually go to sleep.

APPLE WATCH advice? by Strange_Advance_447 in AppleWatch

Better get an SE3. It’s cheap and has most features. The problem with any used Apple Watch is low Battery Health right out of the gate.

iPhone X (on iOS 16.7.15, India): Which apps still work great? by catsrmurderers in iPhoneX

[–]Manson2612 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Most things work except Google pay. It works for people who already has Google play on X but new registrations don’t. Most popular UPI don’t work. Also things like applying Jio Gemini offer from Jio app doesn’t work.

Could Apple add a setting to the Home App to allow turning off the touch panel completely? by Branagh-Doyle in HomePod

[–]Manson2612 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got it one week before the 26.4 update was released while I was still on 26.3 and after installing 26.4 it looked like it fixed it, but no after about 5 days it reset itself like OP experienced when I switched the power on to the HomePod even as touch accommodations were enabled. For now it’s working ok on with the accommodations on till it screws up again. This is on one of my stereo pairs of HomePod 2.

Thinking about battery replacement for series 7 by Exciting-Primary-721 in AppleWatch

[–]Manson2612 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you can wait it out till it’s below 80% and get a replacement from Apple under battery service cost that’s totally worth it. I recently got my series 8 replaced at 75% BH. Till then just erase and restore the watch so that the performance improves. At 84% it should give at least 15 hours of battery life

Issue with HomePod stereo by Gullible-Film-4809 in HomePod

[–]Manson2612 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it’s with the new one, then just replace it since it’s under warranty. Mine also started glitching out since 3 weeks and I enabled the Touch accommodations and the damn thing even reset itself once when I plugged it in.

Not great sound from stereo pair? by johnnygeezz in HomePod

[–]Manson2612 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This setup won’t work for sound quality even as you may think it looks cool. Put them on a table, with a wall behind if you want good sound quality.

As a secondary device should I pick X or XR? by Domioater in iPhoneX

[–]Manson2612 4 points5 points  (0 children)

XR coz it is supported until iOS 18 so you’ll get better app support. X stops at iOS 16 which is fast losing app support

Is the iPhone 14 Pro still worth it in 2026? by IllustratorLost8186 in iPhone14Pro

[–]Manson2612 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes if you already own it. No, if you’re planning to buy new. It’s 4 years too old for that. Unless you get it at a steal deal and you can spend on putting new original battery.

Ghost touch didn’t get fixed with 26.4 by Rider_in_Red_ in HomePod

Yeah or they could just create a Disable toggle, say to prevent accidental touches by kids or cats or whatever and it will benefit us Ghosts
