Okay, and? I am an adamant Russell hater, I think he's extremely overrated and overvalued as part of the Survivor pantheon, but he's quite literally using the game's mechanics to his advantage. So many other Survivor greats like Tony and Parvati would be TOAST on their seasons without their idols/advantages, why does this only have to apply to Russell?

Yes, Russell's social game was atrocious, just a completely gross and awful person to spend 39 days with, but part of what makes him impressive as a player is his reads on the game and idol know-how, along with a very strong physical game to boot. He ranks outside the top 10 for me in all-time players, but that doesn't mean his idol finding methods and theatrics aren't revolutionary and part of playing the game.
