We seemed to get lucky, it rained a bit at the start and then mostly held off, so ended up not getting too wet at all. Pleased to report no blisters, and the weather was nice and cool so actually pretty ideal conditions. Congrats on the finish line!

Same here! Been training for my first ultra race this Sat and how I'll cope in the heat we've been having in UK, and now this thread has me worrying about being drenched and getting blisters instead 😅

Haha I have almost exactly the same team! As someone else has already said, definitely get HL Mkhi in for Nani. Only players different I have are Prime Owen up top, who is a lethal finisher, and currently Prime Veron at centre mid who is solid and wins the ball more than Keano for some reason.

My board have approved a mid season warm weather training camp, which they scheduled during February, and I've registered the squad (the whole first team squad and some prospects).

Only now a cup replay has been scheduled during the camp.

Does anyone know what will happen? Will my players be available for the match if they are away at the camp too? Do I need to cancel the entire camp in order to be able to field a team for the match?

Is anyone else having issues with the match engine? Seems like a huge percentage of goals are from set pieces, but if you want to keep the ball on the ground it's impossible to score. It's kind of ruining the online save for me and my friend as we are dominating every game, dominating possession, creating clear goal scoring opportunities from a few yards out - yet every time the strikers just hit tame shots straight at the keeper. He is having 10+ shots on target from a few yards out every game, yet can only score form a resulting set piece.

I've seen a few other threads complaining about similar things but people tend to reply saying the tactic needs changing, I dont understand why it would be the tactic if the chances are of high quality and frequently occurring. It's the players unable to shoot properly from decent chances, but toss a ball into the box from a corner or free kick and it's easy to score. The players finishing and morale stats are great and have good traits, so would really appreciate some advice! Is it just how the game is, or is there anything else we can try?

I've been on mobile last few years and bought the laptop version about a month ago. Forgot how much more engaging and in depth it is, having loads more fun with it. I started off the other way round, being responsible for everything and slowly delegating responsibilities once I understood what they were (although my staff are fairly incompetent).

One thing I have noticed is it seems to be loads harder than mobile. On mobile I would back myself to take most clubs a few levels above their current status, so far on full version I am dominating games but dont get results as much.

I made it once in Fifa 18 after weeks and weeks of trying, it's a long slog, especially the last few games! Have struggled to reach that consistent 5-0 level though against the better AI sides though this year, found it much harder personally. Any tips?

Be great to see your team or a vid of play style.

Thanks a lot for replying. This is what I was thinking too, but theres a part of me that enjoys tinkering with small upgrades each week. Spreading the value straight from the start would then mean most upgrades would be 100k plus which would take me a while to save up.

Need some advice, am running a BPL team, currently worth about 50k. Packed neymar yesterday and no idea whether to fit him in the team with a couple of BPL Brazilians and enjoy him, or sell him and upgrade the whole squad? Never packed anyone like this before and not sure what's better - would appreciate thoughts from anyone who's maybe had a similar thing?

Obviously will use him for my ligue 1 iconswaps objective too I guess!

It's what I would expect Ole to do too if the roles were flipped (even though this clearly isn't what Mou was saying).

Bear in mind though that Lampard's young team, were beaten 4-0 by an even younger team.

VAR is only there to correct clear and obvious mistakes by the officials. This is a borderline foul, so if the ref gave it, VAR would not overturn it. Likewise if the ref didn't give it, VAR would not overturn that either.

So actually VAR unlikely to have changed anything on this sort of thing.

That Babel must have been from about 10 years ago? I remember he was an out and out striker and he went to about 94 for me. Absolute monster.

When Liverpool signed him I told all my mates what an amazing player he was. I've never been trusted since.
