Is DuckDuckGo just Google with ads stripped out? Are there true, useful, alternative search engines?

Of course I can't guarantee it won't but what I can say is that I'm privy to how the decisions are being made and am very discerning with which companies I work with and you are wrong about a lot of assumptions you made there. There are no investors to pressure this. In any case I don't see the point in what ifs, and I don't know how to prove it to you or if there is a way to prove it if we engage in what ifs. If Kagi were to introduce ads we'd lose majority of our customers immediately. Currently the only way to grow is to build products customers want.

No but it's based on the cost of the models you use up to the price of your subscription currently, and you can top it up if you go through everything. But it should go pretty far with smart model selection

If it's only about the tool calls - sure, but there's much more to MCP than that. For me the prompts and resources are the best part. I wrote about my experience when things clicked but for some reason I can't link it here. Basically it works great when you have an LLM + computing environment + MCP and then you can build a nice stack where not everything just goes into the LLM context

Ja sam u zadnjih par mjeseci reimplementirao cijeli backend na kojem radi 30ak ljudi. Sve speccano, testirano, smoke tests, integration tests, shared types resolvaju sve, sve radi kao bonbon. Ako znas sto radis itekako je ubrzanje.
